Jeanne Dillion
Jeanne Dillion, Yoga Therapist, Director of Yoga for Wellness, is a Certified Yoga Teacher through the Integrative Yoga Therapy program and a Certified iRest® Teacher through the Integrative Restoration Institute. Long-term health issues led Jeanne to yoga where she rediscovered her True Nature of joy and found tools for healing and living that profoundly enhanced her life. She’s been practicing yoga since 1990 and in 1998 opened Yoga for Wellness, LLC, to share the many benefits of this tradition with others. She is passionate about teaching yoga and meditation and inspiring others to find health, healing and enhanced wellbeing. Her teaching style is gentle and accessible to anyone. Jeanne compassionately works with people living with MS, cancer, infertility, chronic pain, Parkinson's and other challenging conditions.
One of Jeanne's primary focuses is leading classes, workshops, and individuals in Integrative Restoration (iRest®), the modern day protocol for Yoga Nidra, a profound guided meditation which leads practitioners to experience deep healing and peace. Because this guided meditation has touched her life so deeply, she cherishes the opportunity to share it with as many others as possible! In 2009 Jeanne was one of two yoga teachers who led the practice in the pilot study "Impact of Integrative Restoration (iRest®) Meditation on Perceived Stress Levels in Multiple Sclerosis and Cancer Outpatients" by the Psychology Department at Boise State University, which resulted in favorable outcomes for all participants.
In her personal practice and when teaching, Jeanne delights in following the disciplines of T.K.V. Desikachar, the son and primary student of Krishnamacharya, a prominent yogi who helped bring a resurgence of hatha yoga in recent decades, and Richard Miller, Ph.D., founder and Director of the Integrative Restoration Institute. The teachings of both yoga masters have generated profound transformation and well-being in her life. Jeanne is currently continuing advanced studies with Richard Miller and Joan Ruvinsky of Pathless Yoga.
Jeanne's yoga studies have also been influenced by other renowned yoga teachers including: Joseph LePage, Founder of Integrative Yoga Therapy; Jon Kabat-Zinn, founding Director of the Stress Reduction Clinic and the Center for Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction; Gary Kraftsow, Director of the American Viniyoga Institute; and Sonia Nelson, Director of the Vedic Chant Center.
Jeanne also owns Workplace Wellness, LLC, a wellness consulting business for workplaces. She is registered with the Yoga Alliance with an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher, 500-hour level of distinction and is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists.
