great
I enjoyed this flow very much, the intensity was perfect! (managable for being in postpartum). My body definitely heated up which was nice. The class didnt state that a wall would be used which was the only downside, however I modified during these parts of class. Im hoping to retake this class next to a wall to get the full experience.
This class was impossible to follow and too difficult. I was really excited to do it because its only 30 minutes - perfect for new moms - and I really enjoyed all of Liza Janda s prenatal classes. However, once I got started I immediately was confused and the flow was too fast to follow along without constantly watching what she was doing. Not only that, but there was no discussion of how to modify if you have DR which many postpartum moms do. If you are just starting to get back into moving after baby - this is not the class to start with.

So sorry you didn t like the class. Re: diastasis recti, all of the poses are appropriate for DR. I did give options of keeping hands on the mat or block or lifting them. You should always get the ok from your care provider to exercise postpartum. Most will say it s ok beginning at 8 weeks. I thought my flow was slow enough and it s repeated numerous times. It s a flow I do regularly in postnatal classes with moms who are 6-8 weeks and more postpartum.
I didn t like this class. I think the flow was fine, and the level was fine (I m 10 weeks PP) but I found it really difficult to follow the instructions. They weren t clear with some stages not being said aloud, so I kept having to stop and watch the video to see what they were doing. With these online classes I think you depend more on each asana being stated clearly so you can flow without watching the video. The sequence was nice, but clarity poor.
Really enjoyed this class! I can definitely feel some heat in my core! Exactly what I was looking for. Only thing is that at 3.5 months pp my right hip is still giving my troubles so the warrior 3 and half moon caused too much discomfort for me about to do.
Thanks, Becca! If your hip is still bothering you, I d like to suggest you either see a chiropractor or take Shy Sayar s correcting pelvic misalignments class and/or therapeutic yoga for hips and back. Your body goes through tremendous changes from pregnancy and then even more postpartum. Getting your body realigned can make a big difference. If you think about the changes that occurred over 9 months, 3 months PP is only 1/3rd of the time it takes to recover. So be kind to yourself and keep listening to your body. Congratulations on your new family member!
I liked the class, I just wish the music was different during savasana, as it was to up tempo. Thanks!
I didnt enjoy this class. Im 8 weeks postpartum and wanting to start some physical activity again but this class was too difficult. Its really an ordinary flow class, I
Sarah, I m sorry you didn t like the class. I purposely made the class slower than a normal flow class, with a lot of focus on the belly and the breath. My goal was to also focus on strengthening all those body parts that get stretched and to take your time doing it. This is a flow I ve used many times in my postnatal classes with moms 6 weeks PP - 6 months PP. It s important to acknowledge the dramatic changes your body has been through and will continue to go through. So be kind to yourself, listen to your body, and take a break if you need it. Some people recover quickly and others, like me, take a bit longer to get their strength and stamina back. And Congratulations on the birth of your baby.
