These tend to be particular problem areas for most people, plus having strong abs and a nice booty feels good! While these benefits are real, the other health benefits of a strong core and bum transcend just looks. The glutes (your booty) are the largest muscle in the entire body. With strong glutes, you are stronger all-around, more powerful, and faster. Having a strong core is essential in a healthy, balanced, and stable body. Strengthening your core is incredibly preventive and restorative for injuries (especially back injuries), beneficial to your central nervous system, improves posture, and even protects your organs.

This challenge is a specially curated blend of practices that includes yoga, pilates, barre, and fitness classes, all targeting your abs and booty. You'll see a visible change in 2-weeks. Whether you're an experienced yogi or exerciser, or a beginner and want fitness to be part of your life, this challenge is suitable for you (all levels welcome).

DAY 8: 2 WEEK ABS & BOOTY BOOTCAMP CHALLENGE

Welcome to Day 8 of the 2-Week Abs & Booty Bootcamp Challenge! 

You've made it to the second week. Are you feeling excited about your progress or feeling tired and intimidated by another week of practice? Regardless of how you're feeling, keep encouraging yourself. You've stayed consistent, and that's something to be proud of challengers! 

As you move into the second week, share your experiences with the other challengers. Today's class will keep working your core and booty. This 45-minute class with Ben will also be a more full body workout with yoga. Enjoy!

Work Your Buns:

Fitness & Yoga: Thighs, Guns, & Buns with Ben Davis

45 minute class | Level: Adv. Beginner & Up | Intensity: Bring a Towel

This class has a strong focus on toning and strengthening the lower body, arms and shoulders. With an emphasis on balance and agility, this class works towards a primary flow that includes jiva squats, standing splits, figure 4's, airplane and chair pose. 

After learning the primary flow there is an exercise section of various actions and movements performed at 20 second intervals with a chaturanga exercise in between. 

Blocks can be used to help balance and find a more effective stretch in forward folds, pyramid pose and standing splits.
