This CD is the latest creation of The Temple Bhajan band. With very brisk call/response kirtan, ancient mantras, and bhajan sung in traditional style by western singers, it’s a must for every world music enthusiast. Temple of the Heart is a beautiful composition of modern duets, harmonies and music combined with traditional ancient mantras, chants and bhajans. Most of the songs are sung by Mahalaxmi and Sura. She sings sweet celestial soprano which mixes with Sura’s raspy (old blues singer ) voice, to create a kind of “Beauty and the Beast” scenario. Adwaita plays the mrdunga drum, which slowly brings the chanting to its crescendo again and again.
Bring the sound of the New Dwarka temple into your home. Join the blissful voices raised in devotional songs, or bhajans.
