Great intro video. Nicely paced for those new to ashtanga as well as sequenced without every chanturanga normally included in a primacy series.

Excellent introduction. I ve been trying to learn the ashtanga series for a few years, but haven t had the discipline to refer to the drawings of each pose. This slow and clear guidance helps to imprint it on my brain. I plan to repeat this class every week to improve my memory for the routine.

Very clear cues and a great beginners class. Second time I am doing the full 9 days Ashtanga program. Love it and highly recommend.

I did not like this class at all. I found it difficult to follow the cues, and in particular syncing the breathing. There was a bit of flow, but then just a bunch of disjointed poses with awkward transitions between them. I guess Ashtanga just isn t for me.

Really tough, great workout! This was the first time I tried Ashtanga and it makes me excited to try other Ashtanga classes! YDL: Please post more Ashtanga classes! These are great!

Loved it! Clear guidance. Done a fair bit of Ashtanga but instruction still useful.

I really enjoyed this class. It actually helped me more fully learn some of the basic yoga poses. It was very well balanced was slowly cued and also had some balancing which I appreciated. When I get stronger I plan to look into the primary and intermediate series.

I really, really liked this class. I have very limited experience with ashtanga but it appeals to me, so I think this was a great place to start. I liked Alik s cuing (aside from one awkward part in trikonasana) and I still felt challenged even though this class was pretty basic. It skips the actual primary series, so I am excited to try Alik s longer class that includes all postures.

This wasn t my favorite video. It was an okay practice and got me sweating but I wasn t a fan of Alik s teaching style. I liked that he offered modifications on certain poses but I think he could have used more, especially on the forward-bends with wide legs.

I liked all of the chaturanga transitions. I wasn t the biggest fan of the overall flow, but I learned new balancing poses to add to my practice.

Really good class. Nice deep stretches. I like how he offered several variations of the more difficult poses. It helped me get to what I can do now, but also gave me something to aspire to!

Excelente class. The instructor was insightful and quite helpful. I have taken this class in a studio for a long time and this is a first time I have taken it online. This is an excellent class because it gives you all the main components you would take in regular studio class. I loved how he gave tips on the downward dog to bend your knees and raise your hips to depend the stretch! Eureka! I have been trying to find a way to deepen that pose utill now! Thank You!!!!

This a great class if you re comfortable with basic poses but not sure if you re doing them correctly. It s pretty slow paced so if you like spending more time at certain poses or are really looking at different ways you can modify those poses, this may be the class for you. Most likely a bit boring for those much more experienced, but if you re trying to get back in the habit or not a beginner but not an intermediate, this class will be perfect.
