This class moves way too fast for someone who is experiencing back pain. There are some great stretches in here but you should ease into the poses to ensure you aren t exacerbating the problem - whatever it may be.

Great class. The instructor uses isometrics in a way that allowed me to really open up in ways I haven t previously, even in the same pose or stretch. Definitely adding to my rotation.

I have compressed discs, arthritis, bulging discs...pretty much I m a mess but this class was just lovely. The prompts to extend my tailbone down to the mat to maximize the amount of spine on the mat was a small but super helpful way of bringing awareness to my entire back. I will definitely be coming back to this.

My back feels markedly better after the class. Added to favorites and will visit again. I only wish they had let her lead at least a forty minute to an hour long version of this as she brings an excellent blend of yoga with a physical therapy approach and guides the adjustments necessary to bring focused healing to the back. There were even two poses I don t remember ever doing in any classes prior that were great. An excellent instructor with a direct approach.

I felt the intensity was more "aaahhh" than bring a towel, for that I am grateful as I didn t feel like working too hard. I didn t have a sore back but really enjoyed the great stretches - felt like a nice mini-massage.

Helpful class. Michelle s instruction helped bring new dimensions to familiar poses. I would definitely not categorize this class as "Bring a Towel" - it s gentle and appropriately paced for when you re in pain.

This class some lovely stretches and subtle strengthening exercises, and I plan to return to it again on days when my back is tight and sore. I agree with other reviewers who said it should not be rated "Bring a Towel." I d say "Ahhhh," or "Everyday Namaste" at most. I did it first thing in the morning and while I do think it was helpful then, it would be more useful later in the day when muscles have been moving around a bit more, since it did a lot more stretching than warming or strengthening. But I definitely recommend it for helpful, focused back-relieving stretches!

This really worked for my low back. I almost didn t do it because it says bring a towel but I am a fairly out of shape advanced beginner and I had no problem at all. Didn t even change into exercise clothes. Highly recommend and will be coming back to this class quite often.

This felt really good. I ve had sciatica the last couple of days and while I usually feel like my hips are out of whack, I wanted to see if a release of my lower back would help instead. This really helped. I plan on doing it again when it flares up. Nice!

I had a pain on the right side of my lower back for several days. One session of this class found the spot and worked it out. Loved the results. I ll be using this class as ongoing back pain relief.

This was wonderful. I loved the stretches. I needed to take it slower as I do have pain and the breathing into these stretches gave great relief. I also appreciate the silence of the Shavasana. No music or noise throughout the practice was lovely : ) Thanks.

This class is a life saver. I have chronic tightness in my lower back that gets to be painful if I don t spend time loosening it up. This has been my go to video since joining yoga download for relieving back pain and tightness. I find the benefits to be immediate and long lasting.

This class is amazing! I ve had back and hip pain consistenly since October. I did this on Monday and Tuesday and for the first time, today, I have no pain! Thank you, Michelle. The hip opening moves are amazing and I use them during the day whenever I feel a tightening. If you are having pain, do this class! Do it like she says, just what you can do.

I liked this class. The instructor is no nonsense and the class moved along at a good pace. I had general back tightness and found this helped. I would do it again.

This is an outstanding class I wish I would have discovered a few days ago. I was initially concerned that it was going to be too much due to the intensity rating, but it is not overly fast. My back is feeling much better. Thank you!

Nice quick stretch for back pain. Stretched my spine all 6 directions and definitely loosened it up. I agree with other reviews that sometimes the cues could be a bit more clear but all in all very good for stated purpose.

I can t believe I haven t seen this class before! As someone who struggles with long term back pain and a recent acute injury I am always looking for some gentle classes to stretch out my back. I was a little nervous when starting this video as I am still recovering from a back sprain but I was pleasantly surprised at how good I felt the next morning. The only critique I have is that some of the poses could have used more detailed description, I found myself twisting over to see the video a few times and that s probably not the best idea with an injury! Also more clarification of the "isometric" concept...not everyone is familiar with that. Overall though I loved this class!

She provided a very thorough class for back stretches and some unique ones that I had not done before. I liked her cuing and explanations for why we were doing each pose. Great class that I intend to do again and share friends who also suffer with back pain!

This class has made such a difference in my lower back. I did this class for the first time yesterday. My back felt so much better that I couldn t wait to go through it again today. After many months of recurring pain and reduced flexibility, this is the one thing that is giving me significant improvement.
