Not a lot of flow, or breath to movement, but good stretches and good, atypical challenges. The peak poses at the end were more advanced than I ve seen in most advanced classes! Nice to know what some people can do, though.

The class description sounded great but all the previous reviews put me off so I decided to go in with an open mind. After 4 mins of sitting still listening to him blabber on I nearly gave up but I was SO pleased I didn’t! There wasn’t much of a “flow” but the poses were all so wonderful and I moved in many ways I hadn’t for a long time. I now feel like I’ve had an hour long massage. If you’re a beginner don’t be put off that you can’t do all the poses at the end of the class - I’ve been doing yoga for years and still struggled but I still really really enjoyed them.

This class can be really challenging, or it can meet you where you are. Either way, it will be a flexibility and balance challenge.
I appreciated (a lot) that they had two students with very different levels of flexibility. Sometimes I was chillin with the less flexible model, other times I was hangin with the more flexible one, and often I was somewhere between the two. Have a strap handy, listen to your body, and have fun. I did NOT get into the full head-to-foot pose or that stretch from double pigeon (couldn t figure it out, lol) and that s okay. I like that there were brand new poses for me to explore. I ll revisit this one from time to time to see if I can get deeper. :)
There is a lot of talking in this class. I don t mind it. I don t have a brain that actually shuts off anyway. It gave me a place to focus my attention while I held the poses. That won t be great for everyone, but it is great for me.

I stopped 12 minutes in. Too much talking, it was very to annoying me and I could not get into the practice.

Although Les shows is attentive and passionate, there was too much talking for me which didnt help me to connect with the exercise. On top of that, I thought that the movements were very advanced and I gave up half way through the class.

Too much talking

This was really not a practice that suited me and I felt it was way beyond Advanced Beginner . Far too many peak poses that were beyond my flexibility and body shape. Found also that I wasn t sure what exactly was going on even in less complex poses as I couldn t follow all the instructions.

I would have given 5 stars (fantastic content!) but too much chatting for me.

A wonderful union of wise advice, compassionate suggestion, light-hearted humor and, of course, yoga!
I feel rejuvenated mentally and physically after this class.

Couldn t get past the first 5 minutes of "clearing my mind" as the instructor wouldn t stop yammering on.

Strong and effective class. While some do not prefer the amount of talking from the guide, it did not bother me and helps me stay focused in a longer class. Perhaps the talking is more distracting depending on your skill level. Thanks Les!

Agree with some of the other reviews - WAY too much talking for me. I felt like it was difficult to focus on the poses

I m with Julie. I have no idea if I liked the practice because I could not. get. past. his. talking. This may be wonderful for other people but wow is it not for me. Sometimes I felt like the teacher got lost in talking and forgot about the poses.

I can t praise this instructor and his classes enough. I was introduced to him through the 21 day challenge, but I will continue looking for his classes again and again. He offers a different kind of challenge that reminds me of how I felt when I first was exposed to yoga so many years ago. Pure joy in just trying to get there, knowing I can, but needing to do the work. Thank you!

While I liked this flow, there was SO. MUCH. TALKING. I found it more distracting than inspiring. If you need a lot of verbal guidance and encouragement, you ll probaby like this class, but if you re more interested in cueing than narrative, a different class might be more appropriate for you.

This was my first class with Les as an instructor and my goodness he is amazing. Satisfyingly challenging poses and stretches, but all with the incredible message of beauty in falling and beauty in failure and always continuing to try. So thank you Les Leventhal for a wonderful new experience!

Great class. I chose to take it with the 21 day challenge. What I liked the most was how he explains the poses and how to advance. It one of those clases that I could do over and over.

This class was great for the 21 day challenge. It was a little difficult for me with some of the sequences, but the message from Les was helpful for reminding me to do what I was capable of.
