This was a wonderful combination of strength and stretch. I worked up a sweat doing it but felt so good.

This class was a great reminder not to be fooled into thinking hatha yoga is easy! The poses were simple but by focusing on form, it was a great mental and physical challenge... and a great way to kick off the Spring Into Strength two-week challenge.

This was my first day of the challenge. I am Italian. Jackie’s English is really clear and I was able to follow her perfectly. I enjoyed the lesson a lot and now I’m very good! she’s great!

Another wonderful class from Jackie! Her calm voice guides you through the slow movements. Each pose is held long enough for you to really get into and feel the pose. The movements might be slow, but holding the poses challenges your strength. I highly recommend this class!

Make no mistake while this is a slow class it is challenging, more do than a fast flow in my opinion you will sweat a bit.

That was a lot more challenging that I expected! I do struggle with longer holds, which is why I love vinyasa, but those longer holds build strength and flexibility in both the body and mind.

Beginners will appreciate the great cuing and instruction, and more experienced practitioners will gain strength from the long holds and calmness from the focus on breath and Jackie s soothing and encouraging voice.

Day 1 of the 3 week challenge, and what a powerful lovely start! Jackie my favorite teacher for years here on YDL, giving us the gift of an as always a perfectly cued class. Building strength and heat through long holds with deep breathing, and then sweaty and panting really being able to melt deeper than usual into that last figure four. And you ll sure feel it alright, my legs still feel like jelly hours after :-D

Just finished this class while my kids went out for a quick bike ride with their dad (we re in total confinement here in France!). It was my first yoga class since I gave birth to my 4th boy 8 months ago, and it felt Ah-mazing!
Now I have to go back to life! Thank you for this great me-time!

I have just signed up to this app! Thank you Jackie. I really enjoyed how you broke down each pose into steps and made me focus on using my exhale to deepen the stretches. Initially, I thought I wouldn t sweat during the class as it was quite slow paced. However, I sweated a lot! Especially during the crescent lunge holds!

One of the best classes to date. Instructor was clear without talking too much... poses flowed very well... intensity was perfect. If I have one negative comment it is that the class would be better wiithout music.

Really good, no great! Jackie s directions are clear and her knowing how my hip starts to dip, my foot is on the arch, wow! The corrections are perfect like she s in the room. Holding the poses is a challenge but well worth it. Thank you!

I agree with others who said this one is both challenging and relaxing. For me, the long holds can be more challenging than a quicker flow. This class forced me to stop and breathe. Felt great! Did this at the end of the work day and it reminded me I need to do yoga more often. I used blocks for the runners lunge pose, even though she didn t recommend it.

I love all of Jackie s classes and this is one of my favorites. I didn t take up yoga until my 50 s and now that I m mid 60 s I need a class that is challenging without being too fast paced. This suits the bill perfectly. Thanks Jackie!

Jackie is a favorite of mine as she adds the subtle nuances for each pose which makes the biggest difference for a fuller experience in my yoga practice. Basic poses taken to a higher level. I feel relaxed and energized at the same time. Thanks again!

This was my idea of an ideal yoga class. It wasn t so easy that I didn t feel challenged; it wasn t so hard that I felt like I was doing more than I felt like doing. It involved the perfect amount of holds, which left me feeling great and stretched out. All my aches and sore muscles improved. The class was a perfect time, too: 45 minutes of active poses; 5 minutes of breathing and relaxation. I used to prefer the most vigorous of yoga classes, but I ve found that my body doesn t handle them well anymore.

Like many of Jackie s classes I would give this more than the max 5. A fabulously strong and focused session. I loved the holding of poses, the focus on the importance of breath and the frequent alignment cues. This is a brilliant class to remind you why you do yoga and to help you through other classes. I recently have clavicle surgery and was looking for an easier, deliberate and slower moving class. This was perfect for my post op test. I had to modify my poses somewhat but the longer holds allowed me to move slowly. As always, Jackie s classes give clear instruction and this class will find its way onto my library.
