To my surprise, I actually loved this class. One of the best build-ups for doing the splits that I have found as it focuses on building strength in the whole body.

Great class! I felt sooooo good in my (not quite) splits. I tend to dump into my lower back and this class has me feeling super comfy.

What Ive loved about this class is that there is a lot of work on strengthening muscles in the lower and middle back. I had a dream last night that I was doing some back muscle work (which I never do). So when I remembered that, I knew I was going to do this class again today. Thank you Shannon!.

I enjoyed this class very much. The instructor has a great, upbeat personality and her alignment advice was spot on. I have tight hamstrings so I appreciated all the effort she put in to prepare us for the splits. I’m not quite all the way down there but classes like this get me pretty close!

I really enjoyed this class and the progression into the splits. I wasn t able to get into full splits, but I challenged myself to go as far as I could today. It will give me something to work towards. I really enjoyed the hamstring stretches as I am naturally tight.

Wow! I ve never gotten so deep into an (almost!) split before. Excellent progression to enable this. I really enjoyed this instructor. I kept expecting some vulgar language based on the warnings I d read/seen in another review, but there is nothing bad in here at all! She simply uses the word a$$ for your posterior. I ll be looking for more from her for sure.

Wow what a great class, I will be following this instructor from now on. Definitely gave me some advanced (never heard before) pointers on improving hanumanasana (practicing for 21 years and each year I get an eighth of an inch closer to the ground... I think this class took me that extra distance in 50 minutes).

Shannon Paige is one of my favorite teachers on yoga download. There are always poses I have never done before. I learn a ton about my body. And the personal teachings are very inspiring. It s hard to describe with words but doing her classes help me feel whole. More classes by this teacher please!

Excellent class, didn t quite get to do the splits (!) but certainly the postures opened my hips and hamstrings more than they ever have before. Will definitely continue to practice!

"Get into the Splits" with Shannon was a great focus on the technique of involving the whole body in Hanumanasana. She offered great flow, and stretches prior to the peak pose with excellent instruction without any harm to the body. She s lighthearted and fun and I got further along Hanumanasana than I have in a long time without getting hurt. Thanks Shannon

Many Hanumanasana focused classes I have taken before concentrate on the hips and hamstrings. I appreciate that Shannon made that the whole body is vital to successful Hanuman. I came away from this class with a renewed interest in the intricacy of Hanuman and how it relates to my body off the mat.

for an intermidiate class the instructor really was detailed about ever pose and movement, this class felt more like a tutural. super slow...

I was expecting a faster pace when I saw "you ll feel it" but this is a slower, mindful flow. You ll STILL feel it though! I really loved the cues and how the pose alignment was broken down bit by bit. The "thass" cue was fantastic and I know I ll use that technique again when I need to make sure my hips are square!
Shannon is SUPER fun and playful in cues and instruction. I really enjoyed the presentation. There is no actual savasana in the practice, but as we are all flowing from home, one is easily added!
