I go back to this class often. While there is some flow in the beginning sun salutations, after that it moves through holding all postures. This allows for deep stretching. I always feel really open after this class.

did the 30 minute flow. the music was such a throwback! overall a nice class... warmed me up, opened my hips. some of the transitions could have been smoother, but really not bad. (warrior 1 to warrior 2 is a common transition, but i would have liked an extra breath before the transition.)

Not my favorite. A lot of time just inhaling in downward dog and transitions that don t make sense (like starting in warrior 1 and immediately going to warrior 2 - the foot placement isn t the same so it s just an awkward transition).

I can t believe I haven t ever taken this class. I love Lisa and she is great in the class. Medium pace. Full body worked. Not just hips. Plus arm balances and inversions. Lots of sun salutations so easy go through in a handstand hop if you like. Will be taking this one again.

I got the 20-minute version of this class a few years ago and have done it occasionally, but today I decided to try the 45-minute version. I highly recommend it! I ve had a lot of low back and hip pain lately and am always on the lookout for classes that will stretch and strengthen without being too intense, and I plan to come back to this class often. The 20-minute version is great if you need a quick stretching-focused class when you are already warmed up, but the 45-minute one is slower-moving and more thorough, doing more to warm up and strengthen the body as well as stretching more deeply. Feels great :)

Love the pace of the class and instruction, not to mention the soft honey tones guiding me to the next post. No rushing, but meditation in motion.

great cues from Lisa, she is a good teacher and guides you kindly and clearly. I m more of an advanced beginner or intermediate student, but could follow the class and liked to work out a try on the advanced asanas, with her great cues could get almost to the end of them.

It may just be the 30 minute version, but I definitely needed some more cues, or to have the pose guide open alongside me for reference.

Excellent instructor with cues and tone of voice. I did the 30 minute class but will do the longer classes next time.

Good solid cueing. I took the 30 minute class and she worked my hips somewhat, but I think next time I d take the longer class and it would do more. Very calming voice with clear directions.

My first class, and I really enjoyed it. My only complaint is that it was too short, so I guess I need to pay for the longer classes. ;-) I can t wait to try more by this instructor.

A good hip opener. Not overly challenging for the intermediate-to-advanced practitioner, but a nice class. I did the 45-minute version.

Lovely class with movement and flow combined with longer holds. A good hip opener. Not too rigorous, but does get you moving.

Her tone of voice is calming. Background music is quiet is calming. I have a good warm feeling after this great workout.

Love this 30 minute class! I do it whenever I am feeling tightness through my hips and lower back. I always feel so much better afterwards...both physically and mentally.

Good flow for a day when I m a little tired and/or not feeling too strong. Stretches and warms my body without exhausting it. Very nice.

Wonderful slow and deliberate hip (and shoulder) opening class. I feel so balanced after this series of poses. Thanks for a fab class!

beautiful, fluid and certainly worthy of high ratings and reviews. if you ve never done this class, the description is perfect. Lisa s guidance is simply splendid, and this class should be practiced often! i always feel open, light and invigorated after this practice; great balancing and twisting postures are also included. the pace makes it easy to really focus on alignment and connecting internally. thank you Lisa! :)

The 20 min class is perfect after a run or walk. There is very little warmup (which is good because I m already warm) and it gets right into where my hips need it.

This is one of my all-time favorite classes. You aren t going to work up a sweat in this one, but it is fantastic for really getting into the hips. The pacing and timing are perfect and there is just the right amount of time spent in the deep stretching postures. The 45 minute class is perfect for me - wonderfully rejuvenating!

I found this perfect for a day when I was looking for a good stretch, a little sweat and some balancing poses (eagle, dancer). Now my legs feel like noodles and I m completely relaxed...mission accomplished!

this class was okay, but it was not an intermediate class. more like a beginner s class. the instructor was very good at describing the postures, which did a good job at loosening my hips. however, it was just really slow. i was disappointed since it was so highly rated. i was looking for a bit of a challenge and some sweat, but this provided neither.

Specific, Peaceful, Opening, yet Challenging! Lisa, thank you for the direction of such a great class. Everyone, if you need some space in that body of yours, and want to find a way to let your mind fall out to the floor for a bit..here s 60 minutes to touch your "guts" with gentleness and health.....just download. Yum.

I did the 60 minutes sequence and even with quite open hips, this is still a nice and challenging routine. Lisa s calm voice is pleasant to listen to and her cues are very clear, meaning I did not have to look at the pose guide at all. I d love a 90 minute sequence from Lisa and perhaps some guidance during Savasana?

My favourite class so far on Yoga Download. I especially loved the the hip openers and twists near the end of the 60 minute class. The pace was perfect—enough to generate heat with lots of opportunities for stretch. I am committed to doing this class once per week for the next few weeks as a great addition to my regular workout schedule. My only negative comment (which does not reduce my rating) is the way she says "in-hayle" and "x-haayyyle". I could do with "hold for five breaths" instead of hearing her repeat this five times. It s just distracting. Other than that, this is a perfect session!

I love all of the hip opening classes, and these are no exception. I ve got both the 20 and 60 min, and I do them all of the time. I reserve the 60 min when I have a lot of time, but it is most certainly worth the extra time. Absolutely love the way I feel after this. I have a hip problem (which my doctor said SHOULDN T be helped by stretching, but is), and I love the focus on the hips. It s really improved my running and has lessened my hip pain.

This was wonderful. Lisa is so peaceful and mindful of a breath lengthening pace. I felt graceful, strong, and proud in this flow. I appreciated that the hip openers were balanced between front and back hip, and that the standing balances were focused on the hips as well.

Another excellent class conducted by Lisa Richards! Every class I've done led by Lisa I have loved! She has a wonderful soothing voice, moves at a good pace, and offers helpful pose alignment tips and reminders. If you aren't sure which instructor to choose - get one of Lisa's classes - you'll be very pleased!

After almost a year of doing classes through Yoga Download, this is still one of my favorite classes. When I`m really stressed or just need to unwind, I keep coming back to this class. Afterwards my hips feel open and relaxed.

I do this class the day after I had a run. Really focuses on opening the hips. I can tell the difference afterwards!

Excellent class. Focus is obviously on opening the hips, but also includes some balancing poses and front/back stretches. This class made me discover my hips and walking feels so much lighter afterwards. Lisa Richards is a great instructor - perfect pace and clear, calm voice.

I did this class after a long day on the road - felt much lighter afterwards. This class helps me gain back my equilibrium, and I also like the pose guide very much. Many thanks.

I feel so great after I do this class. I`m on my feet at work sometimes nine hours a day and the Hip Opening Flow classes are great to keep me feeling good through the day. I alternate between this and the Hip Opening #1 because I feel like they are both beneficial in their own ways. This one doesn`t seem quite as challenging at first as the Hip Opening #1 but the benefits are what really matters.
