Really nice and gentle, well explained, felt energized after the class and grounded as she keeps reminding us to focus on our breathing. I enjoyed it thank you

Music was very annoying and not relaxing. Following from pictures not satisfactory.

Overall, good class. Plow pose in an intro class? Definitely not!

Super hard to follow as a beginner. You are told to sit and study a new pose, but by the time you reach the seated position she is moving on. One of the most frustrating parts about being a beginner is not having the time to figure things out. If you want to constantly stop and start the video this is fine, but if you want to learn without your constant intervention it isn t great.

Great intro class. I ve been doing Yoga a couple years now but never was taught proper postures this class helped a lot.

I m coming back to yoga after a back injury and decided to start from step one again. I found this class to be a decent starting point - the transition from Splits Preparation to the next sequence for the left side to be non existent and Jamie jumped to the next sequence in a manner that would make someone feel like they were doing a bit of catch up
As well at the end - i found that the transition from savansana to curling up on your side is generally wiggle your fingers and toes, wake your body up a bit type thing - Jame Kent does not do this and again could leave a person feeling rushed and at that point in your practice you should be feeling anything but rushed.

Easy paced. Instructor s voice is very clear and easy to follow. I recently found out about the podcasts and Episode 1 has the same instructor. I really enjoy practicing with her.

This class was perfect for my first go at yoga. Clear instructions combined with an easy to follow pace gave me the confidence I needed to continue. There were a few challenges just outwith my reach but close enough to motivate me to come back for more. Thankyou Jaimie

Such a great starter yoga class. Goes through each pose slowly emphasizing good form.

I ve been practicing yoga for a few months now but decided to take this class as I was unsure whether my alignment was correct in a number of poses. I m so glad I did! My downdog has never been better aligned and I can feel from the stretches in my body that I had previously been making small unconscious incorrect adjustments that meant I wasn t getting the most from my practice. Jamie s voice is very soothing and the background music is hardly noticeable until Shavasina at the end, when it is lovely and relaxing. I ll keep coming back to this class periodically whenever I feel I need to work on my alignment again. Thanks Jamie!

Great first class! My boyfriend and I felt very peaceful after. Some of the poses were difficult but I cant wait until we can practice more.

Hesitant at first due to no video, I was pleasantly surprised to discover this was one of the best Beginner Yoga videos on Yoga Download - very detailed and simple to follow - Plough may not have been a beginner pose - perhaps Bridge might have been a better choice, but overall, excellent.

The class was well instructed with a nice pace and voice. I have not practiced yoga for years, so the body is telling me it is imperative to take care once again. There are aches which I believe yoga can resolve. And so this class was a good re-introduction to poses and letting the body know I am listening and taking action.

I have taken Yoga before and never really understood the poses becasue it just goes too fast for me. This is exactly what I have needed.

Good intro. Easy to follow. Good pictures for emulating poses. Sometimes the speaking part got a little bit ahead of the pictures but caught up in enough time to get into the next pose.

Very helpful for my first time!
Thank you!

This is not a true beginner class. Revolved triangle and standing splits are advanced postures. Pace of class to quick for beginners

Great intro, I think it was fantastic except for the fact that I would have liked to had a few more seconds looking at each pose with the instructions before going into them but still very well done!

I have never taken a yoga class before. This was a good beginning. Not too rough, not too easy. I worked up a sweat!! I like the corpse pose at the end that enables you to completely relax and let your mind go

This appears to be same as 60 slide presentation but useful in learning poses.

Excellent beginner class. Fantastic instruction and I love that she allows time to look at the pose guide for reference.

Jaime: I love this class! As a beginner, I love learning how to do a pose correctly. Would love some MORE beginner classes! I live in a small town in Colorado outside Telluride so I was also so happy to hear that not only are you a Colorado gal but you are one (or maybe the only?) FOUNDER OF YOGADOWNLOAD!! You ve done us proud, young lady. Love this website; thank you!!

Great beginner class! It was a challenge for someone like me with no experience, but was not overwhelming.
