Great flows, always love coming back to this one!

Good flow and cuing. I wish YDL had more classes like this with a solid flow and workout. It seems like you really have to reach back in the archive to find a class like this.

I like this class but not so sure about the weight loss part (I mean whether it helps weight loss!). It s a good variety of poses and flow. Definitely an intermediate class though with some of the balances! A good workout.

Fantastic class. Great instructor, spot on cueing. Love love love it. Will definitely try more of Dawnelle s classes :)

A well rounded, quick flow. I m only giving 3 stars because it s labeled as advanced and bring a towel, though it neither. I d give it advanced beginner, everyday class.

Need to revisit when I get more flexibility back. I definitely was sore from day 1 coming into it but already my insides are smiling on this journey.

I don t feel it was quite up to "bring a towel" level. The difficulty seemed to be in the length of time spent holding some of the poses, but not all of them.

This practise is a follow on from Yoga for weight loss 1. You must download this, it is an AMAZING practise, I felt wonderful afterwards and the day after.

My new favorite class and teacher! I wasn t in this for the weight loss but just to try a new class and teacher. I ve done the 20, 30 and 45 minute classes, depending on time available and love each one! I love Dawnelle s calm voice. I love that she cues you before every move so you know what s coming up. This is challenging and over the past week of doing this daily I am experiencing areas of my body that have had limited mobility actually coming back to life. I will definitely be trying every single one of her classes - once I tire of this. I ll be hanging out here for a while!

OK class . Not sure what all the standing balance poses have to do with weight-loss but, presumably, that is more of a hook. Dawnelle is a good clear instructor.

A hidden gem of a class, total power flow from beginning to end. I recommend doing this in the afternoon or after a run, a warmed up body is a must. Yes there is a lot of instruction, but I find it refreshing in Dawnelle s classes to know where I am in every moment and be reminded of proper alignment. If I want a quiet intuitive flow, I play another class. And I have to just mention the actual room here, whoa, has time passed! That table with the flower and the Japanese screens, with gobo lights made me LOL. Levity! What a great class. Thanks!

Did the 45 min energetic flow that gets right into chataranga; so if you need to warm up a little first, do so. Fun warrior series mixed with a little balancing and lots of thyroid compression. Dawnelle mixes up the fast pace with some nice holds. My metabolism thanks you.

excellent class... simply loved it, found difficult to keep pace but somehow manage to complete.
By Shirley | Saturday, May 21, 2016
Excellent overall class with great flow, challenging poses and great total body workout. I noted comments about the music but it didn t bother me( I did the 45 min video). Thanks Dawnelle for another great class!

I love Dawnelle s resonant voice, clear cueing, and her selection of poses for a great flow. This is a wonderful class that gave me a great workout. I definitely needed my towel!

Nice fast pace class!
By Kate Lockhart | Tuesday, August 4, 2015
While the instructor has a soothing voice and great prompts, the edits for the shorter class (20 min) are jerky and could be done more professionally. Great quick all-over jaunt.

I really enjoyed this class and the different timed versions. Its my favorite class so far. I really like how it flows.
By sro | Saturday, May 16, 2015
I love this class, and would give it five stars but every time I do it, the music drives me crazy. It is the opposite of relaxing, especially at the end during savasana. Is there a way to get it without the music? I noticed some other reviewers commenting on not liking the music also.
By Kris | Thursday, February 19, 2015
20 minute series was just ok
By YogiDomi | Monday, January 26, 2015
This is absolutely fantastic!!!!!!!!!
I usually do my reviews at the end of the week/ every couple of weeks in one hit. (I download in bundles) But I did this one this morning and I just HAD to comment today. I didn t realize how much more advanced I have become over the last few months and this one really forced me to get in-tune with my breath - I so needed that. The flow is not ridiculously hard, but the pace and transitions (and strong warm up) are a very good change for the daily&nightly Yogi. Very good, thank you.

Started my morning with Hard core yoga with weights 2 60 minute workout. Great work out for a little cardio

Nice shortened version of yoga sessions I m used to. Makes it easy to fit in a quick flow.
By Sarah Ethier-Sawyer | Tuesday, December 23, 2014
Excellent class. The warm-up starts right away, and the rhythm is steady for the rest of the class. Fun poses, great instructor (I love that she announces what comes next)... I took a half star away because the music is weird.
By Jennifer Coken | Saturday, November 22, 2014
This is a great class. The only problem is that toward the end and particularly in Savasana the music gets a bit strange. It s as if the music slowed down but Dawnelle s speaking stayed at the same stage. It was very distracting and hard to hear her speak toward the end.

Doing this class makes me feel great: it gets my heart rate up without being too difficult.
By Dian | Saturday, August 23, 2014
Amazing!!! Love it. Love all the poses. I can definitely feel it!!! and of course bring a towel!!
By JenB215 | Saturday, August 2, 2014
Really enjoyed this practice and the instructor. She did a great job pacing the workout and keeping you moving.

More of these please. Great pace, great poses, great instruction. Thank you.

fantastic sequencing and instruction.

The flow was challenging, but her instruction made it easy to follow. This session has made it on my "favorites" list and I look forward to doing it again.

This was an AMAZING class! It went so quick I could not believe It was 30 minutes! I m hooked. Dawnelle is a very talanted teacher, I look forward to checking out all of her classes! Thank you!

Boy, am I glad I did this today: I wasn t sure I had the focus and the clear cueing and movement were great. I feel stronger and worked out. Awesome!
By Rhonda | Monday, April 14, 2014
Great Class!! I was extremely sore when I started the class. She eased me in and worked me hard and I didn t feel limited by my soreness. This class moves along quickly which is good for keeping me from getting bored. I did it in the morning and it was a great way to start my day!!

20 Minute class provides a perfect, quick workout. Enjoy Dawnelle s classes every time
By Jen | Sunday, April 6, 2014
Dawnelle is the best instructor I have yet experienced as an advanced beginner. She is precise, calm, explicit and encouraging, perfect for a beginner. I appreciate that she uses the correct traditional asana names and appreciates the spiritual aspect of doing the asanas. Her prompts are clear and spot on. She s awesome!
By Julie | Tuesday, March 4, 2014
I chose this class for the poses, which were great, but I feel that the instructor went way too fast. There s no warm up and the class goes straight into a very rapid flow. At times Dawnelle sounded out of breath because of how fast she was moving. I don t think her flow gave me time to really enjoy the poses or let my muscles loosen. Granted, this is a class for weight loss, so you have to increase speed in order to elevate the heart rate. This is a good sequence of poses but not for everyone who likes to move at their own pace.
By Rikki | Thursday, February 27, 2014
I definitley sweated a bit-I think it made me work more because I haven t practice in a few weeks (woops!), but if I were in prime condition, I m not sure it would ve been enough work. It was a softer workout, but still good.
By dfeder28 | Wednesday, February 12, 2014
Good well rounded practice if you only have 30 minutes; gets your heart pumping, and you get some strengthening as well. Would definitely recommend if you don t have a lot of time but want to get a good practice in

I did the 30 minute class, I really enjoyed the twists, balance work & the chats. Good to do when you re short on time & want to get a practice in.
By Monique | Tuesday, September 10, 2013
i absolutely love this vigorous flow. the pace and sequencing is great; all of the compression, twists and balancing poses are energizing and really help bring focus to connecting internally ~ and, of course, i just love how good it leaves me feeling!
By Linda | Friday, May 31, 2013
Excellent video; great explanation of the poses. Love it. I m going to have to buy it.
By Kimberly | Saturday, May 11, 2013
Weight Loss wasn t really the reason I dove into this class, but I was hoping for a challenging vigorous flow class to just "GO!" and sweat and move. BRILLIANTLY PLAYED DAWNELLE! I have used the 30, and 60 depending on the time I have with biz/travel/day and these classes alone find me smiling strong intto sequences and moves that keep me coming back for more, PAST the "vigor" I was initially looking for. Demanding classes are hard to find, and these Weight Loss series from her are worth the yearly dues to YGL. These are fresh and you can make them your own with the diverse interesting combo s here. So, even if you don t need the weight loss, dive in here for the fun.

This was thus far one of the most challenging: great class, good clear instructions though out. Excellent, thank you.
By lill jenner | Monday, February 18, 2013
I really enjoyed this class, in fact i think it is one of my fav s thus far. I felt challenged & invigorated. I did the 45 min class & am now tempted to try the 60 min class.
By Betsy G | Friday, February 1, 2013
I thought this was a great class. It is definitely immediate advanced which means you need to know the postures and basic alignment. She does give extra instruction regarding alignment. I recommend doing this in the afternoon as your bodies are more warmed up and my balance is better in the afternoon.

This is a great flow class - it is challenging, and I always have that satisfying feeling afterward of having worked out and stretched well. I downloaded the 20 minute class to test it out first, and thought it was good enough to buy the 45 minute version. The 45 minute class jumps into the flow part pretty quickly, so if it is early in the morning I often am not well warmed up, hence my 4.5 stars. Maybe the 60 minute class eases you in more.
Regardless, I totally recommend this to any intermediate yogi. There are lots of low lunge, warrior I, II, and III based poses, and a lot of balance poses. At one point, the student falls out of a balance pose, which always makes me feel better about my wobbling. As another reviewer mentioned, Dawnelle almost always mentions what pose is coming up next, which is nice when I don t have my contacts in! I have the video version, and haven t noticed any audio or editing problems.
By Outofrwanda | Tuesday, October 16, 2012
I have the 45 minute class and really love it. Probably the class I use the most in fact. One tiny criticism - I have only trained at home and so some of the poses could be a little better explained or demonstrated for those who are less experienced (e.g. half moon). I have ended up going to a different website to see how this is fully performed as I was unsure on the hip positioning of the raised leg. But this is minor in comparison to how I feel about the class in general which is great.

I really liked this class and will definitely do it again. The only complaint I have is that the volume on the video is very quiet. I had the volume on the screen and the computer as loud as possible and it was difficult to hear her instructions, especially during some of the more challenging poses when you re trying to concentrate!
By brandyfinley | Friday, June 24, 2011
I did not like the beginning of the class. My body was not warmed up enough to start the way this class started...I am an avid yoga fan, but did not like this one much...

I just finished the 60min and WOW i loved it! It goes at a perfect pace. I usually get bored when yoga is slow, but this one kept me going! as soon as we did one pose we were going to the next one. I highly recommend it.
By knutsola | Thursday, March 3, 2011
This is one of my favorite classes. I do the 30 minute and it is a wonderful flow of stretching, strength, balance and pace. (There is only one small editing glitch, so don t worry about this class being choppy. It s great.)
By roseslug | Saturday, August 7, 2010
The 60 min is an excellent, flowing practice, definitely challenging and sweat-inducing for the intermediate-advanced.
She doesn t offer a ton of advanced moves (i.e., stuff to work up to), but otherwise this is a very good 60 minutes of power yoga.
I didn t notice the audio problems others have, though the intro of my vid was without sound. By the time the practice actually starts, however, the sound is back.
I also noticed the awkward edits in the 20 minute session, but it s not that big a deal once you realize they re there and move past them.
By mhegdal | Sunday, May 30, 2010
I really enjoyed the flow of this class. It never got boring. Dawnelle keeps you moving from one ansana to another. The only problem I have is I would have liked to have a video of it to follow along; trying to follow the printed version takes to long to find where you are, then she s on to another pose. I love this class and will do it over and over. I had no problem with the audio level. Her cuing was great and I liked that she says what asana was next so I would know where I would be flowing next. PLEASE do a video of this class to follow!!
By k8watts | Tuesday, May 11, 2010
I come back to this class over and over. It really makes you sweat and has some unique poses. I really do feel like I am "changing my body from the inside out" like Dawnelle says. A tip for those of you that have problems with the volume, there is a volume button on the bottom of the screen that is automatically set to 50% when you start the video. I always turn it up to 100%, it seems to help.
By Dinah Collins | Friday, March 19, 2010
The 45 minute video class is very challenging and highly recommended. The 20 minute audio class is a poorly edited cut from a longer class and seems disjointed. Had I done the shorter version first, I would probably have not been inclined to try the video class.
By Clare Polencheck | Tuesday, February 2, 2010
This was a great flow. The warmup was strong and the pace of the class kept me warm. Dawnelle s notes on the benefits of the asanas and movements were much appreciated. Her cueing kept me aware of using all the "right" muscles. I felt challenged and strong through this practice, and as Dawnelle likes to say, "supple." One of my favorite classes I ve done here.
