45 min version. Good class. Slow flow to start, but was nice once it got going. This is more a you ll feel it than bring a towel. I would say 6.5 out of 10. I might try the 60 minute and just skip the first 15 minutes next time.

YogaDownload, please re-edit the 20-minute version of this class! It s horrendous, completely mismatched. Whoever cut the longer version of the class into the 20-minute version messed up big time. And while you re at it, please get rid of the annoying music. The low rating I m giving this time is for YogaDownload, not for Lisa Richards! Lisa, if you re looking at these reviews, make sure YogaDownload does not ruin your reputation because of sloppy editing!

Lisa Richards is YogaDownloads best keep secret. Every single one of her classes is amazing! Where is she? Can you please come back, Lisa, and give us a few more outstanding practices? Please?
Some of the problems with shorter classes mentioned by other reviewers are editing problems, I believe. I wish they would go back and do the 60-minute class to experience how great an instructor Lisa is.
YogaDownload, if you re listening, please give us more classes with Lisa!

Great class...but should be done as a visual class only. I chose to do the audio version and there are several parts where the instructor is flowing, but not explaining what to do.

The pace is to slow to be a intermediate class. After 30 min of up/down dogs she finally gets to the intermediate poses. Lots of chatturangas if that s what you want. I read the reviews b4 I took this class. So disappointed.

Excellent and creative flow. After 15 years doing yoga, I had never heard of elbow to foot twist. Amazing... Challenging stretches, very good stress reliver.

Great class...hope newer members don t miss these older offerings from instructors like Lisa, Jackie and Dawnelle. Lisa is the best when it comes to classic vinyasa and slowly but powerfully building heat. Never rushed, always goes deep and keeps things fresh.

wish I did the full length class - will have to. excellent flow - creative and got all the tense spots.

great class! nice little warm up, smooth, intelligent transitions. from simple to challenging with compassion.

The first half of the class was the most confusing I ve ever experienced from this site; it was as if it had been edited wrong. The directions for what to do during the 2 or so minutes of inhaling and exhaling were not clear. And then the series after that was completely different for the left side and right side. (Warrior 3 on left side...not done on the right...etc etc etc). Very frustrating. And not worth the 20 minutes

Impossible to follow the audio for the 20 minute class. All she says is inhale exhale no indication of what pose you should be in. The pose guide doesn t offer any real help at all. So disappointed as the pose guide makes this class look great!

My review is for the 45 min audio version of this class. I prefer audio to video for classes. The audio quality of this class was erratic at best. Making adjustments to the audio of this class became a part of my vinyasa, until I gave up about 35 minutes into the class. I would crank it and she would sound far away, in a tin can, and then suddenly the sound would be normal and she would be booming into the mic.
I really like this sequence, but unfortunately found this class impossible.

Great variety and smooth transitions for a short class.

Challenging and lovely!!!

This is a great class. Even the 30 minute version makes you feel challenged. You will be stretched and invigorated when you are finished.

I did the 60 min class, and the sequence was nice. I did not have any audio issues. I did not look at the video all the time, mainly listened for the cuing, which was fine. I would have liked to hear the music more, and as with ALL yoga videos it would be nice if they gave you a side view AND a front view at the same time, since some of them can be difficult to get the posture without seeing it from both angles.. But it has a nice flow, and covers a wide range of poses. Also it has some faster flowing times to up your heart rate. I would have liked to see some wide leg poses, and take away a little of the Asana.

I really liked this class. Nice to have the instructor do the class while teaching it. It builds nicely and has some good chances to challenge yourself. Works legs well and core.

I loved this class, but I am now kicking myself for waiting so long to purchase the video! I purchased the audio a while back, but found it too hard to follow, so after reading the reviews I eventually bought the video. If you have the ability to do this class as a video, I highly recommend opting for it over the audio. There were some really great, challenging poses in this series and Lisa takes you into them in interesting ways. I felt like she kept me on my toes, and really challenged me to focus, particularly with the balance poses. I love Lisa s style, both in the way she puts together her flows and in her cuing and voice.

The sound was off from the video. The poses seemed to be unbalanced in the 30 minute version (doing things on one side of the body but not the other). Maybe it was cropped from another version, but I have not experienced anything as extreme as this in other videos.

great class but the music is not what I want on a yoga video...first half is elevator music and second half is horror show music??
By danbashara | Wednesday, November 2, 2011
Am I crazy, or is there something missing here? This class started out awesome, but then audio cues disappeared in favor of "inhale, exhale," and I had no idea what to do. Is the longer class free of this problem? I d like to do this sequence somehow, but it s just not possible with this 20-minute class.
By kristiep27 | Friday, October 28, 2011
After sampling the 20-minute class, there is no way I would pay for longer versions. Certain exercises are only done on one side of the body, the audio cues to the next pose are scarce and confusing, the transitions are awkward... I can honestly say that this is the only BAD experience I ve had with a Yoga Download class. I m typically not one to complain about a free offer, but this is just poor.
By Lee | Friday, April 29, 2011
I was very disappointed with the 30-minute class. First, there was a whole sequence of poses that they went through without any cues other than to breathe. Secondly, there are a few poses that are completed only on one side and another sequence of poses that are done twice. It makes for a bit of a confusing and unbalanced experience.
There are some interesting transitions in this class, but I would NOT use the 30-minute version to try them out.

This is a really unique power class. Instead of loading the class with lots of warriors and utkatasanas (which I stay away from if my legs are already sore), there is a wide variety of balance poses with cues like "surprise yourself by trying...". There were plenty of "power" poses, but the relaxing quality of yoga that I love was not sacrificed. NOTE: Sound quality was just fine on the 45 minutes video class.

Yes, yes, yes! The 20min class was challenging and so I decided to buy the 60min class! The alternate poses give me something to work towards! Thanks Lisa and Yoga download!

I m sorry to say this but this was not a good 30 minute class to take with the audio only optiion, and frankly, it wasn t that great on the video either. There were a substantial lack of cue s, making it impossible to have a focused practice. On the video, there was also an editing error and a repeat of the half pigeon pose...I never made it to that part in the audio version as I stopped my practice after 5 minutes since I had no idea what the instructor was indicating us to do. I have loved other classes but this one lacked the consideration of the perspective of the student, who doesn t read minds! One bright spot, however, was the challenging and interesting transitioning from some of the poses to the next. It was unusual and fun to work a bit backwards, so to speak, and to have the option to advance the pose and challange myself. Overall, C-.

I downloaded the 20 minute vid, and was so pleased (apart from an awkward edit that had me a little confused) that I purchased the 60 minute video.
Both are excellent practices, flowing and challenging. She offers advanced poses that you can work up to, which I really like.
I would like to second the notes on the audio - there were portions of the vid where she sort of assumes you can check the visual to see where she is. I m trying to work my way to audio only, but this one isn t the best for that.
Otherwise, excellent sessions.

Awesome class! I purchased the 60-minute audio class and really enjoyed the challenging asanas. The audio was a little scratchy, as others stated, but not so much that it really bothered me or sacrificed the quality of my yoga session. I have never done some of the asana sequencing that she included, which I liked. It a was a nice change and challenge, as well. I look forward to using this class to practice yoga in the future!

Lisa has done it again, this is a great workout and it is tough yet doable. I am so so glad you all are making yoga accessable to so many, Keep up the great work. Love all the classes i have downloaded.

Really liked this one and was really happy to see another one by Lisa. I like her the best out of any of the other teachers on Yogadownload because of her excellent cuing and asana sequencing. I always feel very relaxed after doing her classes - sometimes I don t feel that way with the other teachers.
One thing that I don t like now is all the emphasis on the video classes. Please, please, please keep the audio classes. I want to practice yoga and not kink my neck to see a yoga pose. Also, please try to rectify the sound quality. On a lot of the newer classes the sound is horrible. I often will download a 20 minute class to see if I would like to get a longer version - many times I haven t purchased a longer one because I just can t stand the scratchy audio!

The poses were great, but I would have liked it to flow faster to get my heart rate elevated a little.

Lisa’s class was very good. I really enjoyed the warm-up. This class was very progressive, building on the basics and challenging the strength and balance through variations on utkatasana and revolved utkatasana. The progression was paced well, and the challenge increased with each variation. A few of the poses were not easily understood via audio description, and I felt like some of the cuing was a little “late.” I would have liked the music more prominent as well. Besides a few little nitpicks, this is definitely a keeper!

This is a note from the production team here at YogaDownload. Please note users that the audio level issues have been resolved for all of the Power Vinyasa Flow #5 classes.
Thank you for your input and attention to these details, we appreciate your support and feedback.

Enjoyed this class a lot and in particular the small variations adding challenge and variety to the classical postures. I do however agree with the other reviewers that the sound quality is very poor and the directions given are less accurate/complete than in the previous audio only classes. After trying the class once in audio I then downloaded the video to check on some of the variations and this too was of very low quality so overall I would just like to say well done on a lovely site overhaul but please don t compromise on quality where it counts most.

Unfortunately, I bought this before the other reviews had been posted. I purchased the 45 min audio class. Sound quality was poor, with Lisa s voice fading in and out. This was definitely the "audio" piece of the video class, but easy enough to follow from the cueing, except for sound. This class should be edited to fix the sound before anyone else buys it. There should also be some quality controls in place to ensure that this doesn t happen again.

I agree with Charlotte completely. I have always been very happy with my audio files from here, until now. I hope this is not how all the new audio files will be. The sound quality was so bad, I had to turn my Bose speakers way up to hear her cues. Then, after a nice long savasana, my speakers and my nerves were almost blown when the next audio file started! The practice itself was good, although I might interject boat before she takes me into bridge next time. There seemed to be time, since there was a long bit of silence that left me sitting and waiting. Maybe she was doing something on the video that I missed?

This is my favourite class so far. It gives an all round work out that starts gently and gradually builds, becoming increasingly challenging. I like the way Lisa explains the moves leading to a posture, which enables me to flow more easily from one position to another. Her timing is very comfortable for my ability level and there is enough space to adjust my position so that I am comfortable when assuming the next posture. She also gives reminders about how various parts of the body should be aligned throughout, making this very close to being a personal class. Her voice is gentle, steady and encouraging.
I purchased the 45 minute class because the 20 minute freebie was so good and am now considering the 60 minute class for days when I feel like a big work-out.
Top marks!

I was excited to see a new practice from Lisa Richards, who is one of my very favorite YogaDownload instructors. The practice is vigorous and challenging and I enjoyed it overall. However, I practice from audio files rather than video, and the sound quality and editing on the mp3 file are not as good as my previous purchases from YogaDownload. At some points, I could not hear the direction for the next pose. Also, the poses aren t explained as thoroughly, probably because it is assumed that people will be watching the video. I hope that YogaDownload will continue to supply the high quality audio practices that I have enjoyed so much in the past. Meanwhile, I do recommend this practice, with the caveat that students might be better off purchasing the video file.
