Emmanuel Fohr
This album was recorded with the hang drum, a relatively new Swiss musical instrument which provides warm and deep harmonic sounds. Seven different hang drums with specific scales were used to record this album. Most of the tracks are recorded live. The "interludes" contain other instruments such as the ocean drum, Sansula. Each track is a unique recording made from a personal composition and improvisation. By the scale, the pitch (low or high) and the rhythm each song is meant to create a different atmosphere, a new story.

Danny Cudd
Danny Cudd is a UK hang musician with panache for everything idiophonic. The hang is a steel pan-like instrument that is played with the hands and this results in a wide range of tonal inflections, arrangements, and sounds that resemble everything from bells, piano, and crystal singing bowls. This is Dannys second solo studio album.
The eight-tracks are mostly instrumental with only a few indiscriminate female vocals wafting along on “Released Upon Inception.” There are different melodies and rhythms that suggest trip-hop, down-tempo, avant-garde, experimental, alternative, new age, world fusion, and percussion music throughout. The multi-faceted songs are simplistic, but highly-textured and the final result is deeply satisfying.

Love Indigo
Music produces such passionate emotional responses, and with intention and forethought can be used to focus and direct the listener's emotions. Movement to music is hardwired into the most primitive and ancient parts of our brains. When we hear a beat, signals are automatically sent by the deep brain to our muscles. We had a lot of fun creating our first album which is called 'Yogalicious'. We used a mixture of sounds from various genres including Opera, Classical, Hip Hop and R&B and took influences from different countries and cultures around the globe using sounds from China, India, Spain and the Middle East.

This two-disc set is divided according to its usefulness to the listener. Disc one is the choice for the yoga part and is perhaps a slightly active version of peace. The booklet even shows a number of hatha yoga poses to try while singing along to a selection of chants that invoke various divinities by repeating their names over and again. Jai Uttal sings to the young cowherd deity Lord Krishna on his fusion-laced "Gopala" and Bhagavan Das praises Ram with a melodic groove, while Dave Stringer offers a quiet prayer to Lord Ganesha, the elephant-headed boy who removes obstacles. Both tracks from Krishna Das honor Lord Shiva, one being a previously unreleased, rhythm-based "prayer" to his fierce Rudra incarnation. Two lesser-known artists also make fine contributions -- Wah! and Diana Rogers, both of whom have sung as part of the Krishna Das Kirtan Posse over the years. So you've got all that energy out and now you are ready to meditate or be passively peaceful? Pop in disc two and chill on out. The aural landscape painted by Drala is a bit on the new age side, but calming nonetheless. Benjy Wertheimer and his esraj (a classical Indian string instrument) lay down two pieces based on the alap (a classical Indian musical statement), though the specific ragas are not named. The disc closes with the legendary "Emperor of Melody," Ali Akbar Khan. A master of the sarod who has been performing since 1936, Khan offers "Morning Meditatio," which originally appeared on his 1990 release Journey.

Language Of Love is a sensual musical work inspired by the timeless Indian writings of spiritual and physical love the Kama Sutra. The Kama Sutra, written sometime during India's Classical Age (320-540 AD) is much more than an ancient sex manual. Indeed, it is a treatise on engaging the five physical senses - hearing, touch, smell, taste and vision - to allow body, soul and spirit to be elevated through love. It is this goal that Craig Pruess aspired to in the creation of the music for Language of Love.
Many are the moods evoked on Language of Love: romantic, passionate, serene and sexual. As Craig reflects 'The intention (sankalpa) behind this CD is very simple: music specifically imagined, composed, performed and recorded to help create an environment for loving and heart-centered sex - lively and yet settled; attention on beauty and the universal connection of breath, sound and form; compassionate, giving and caring; fun, playful, light and uplifting; meditative and deep.'

Krishna Das
Over three days in November 2004, in the renowned Avatar Studios in New York, a choir of 70 and an orchestra of 20, came together to create All One. Featuring Krishna Das (Vocals and Harmonium), Walter Becker (Bass; Co-producer), Def Lepard’s Rick Allen (drums), Ty Burhoe (tabla) and David Nichtern (Guitar; Co-producer and well known composer “Midnight at the Oasis”) the songs were all recorded live in one take with the exception of some additional overdubs added later). The music that flowed was an amalgum of sounds- Violin and Cello with Bansuri Flute- Sarod and Esraj with Piano and Drums- Electric Guitar and Bass with Tabla – Gryphon Guitar with Trumpet and African Percussion… But throughout was the thread of Krishna Das’ deep emotive voice and the voices of the choir and the hypnotic mantric names spun from the living spirit in the room.
