Inner Strength & Stability - Class 4 of 5 Many think that yoga is just stretching, but it is so much more than that. In this class we will dive deeper into what yoga is all about while working to strengthen your body and mind from the inside out. Throughout class you will be encouraged to go at your own pace, do what you can, and celebrate where and who you are. To get the most from this class, please practice the first 3 classes in the Yoga 101 series at least once. Please bring along a yoga block, yoga strap (or a belt works), and a folded up blanket or towel. You can still practice this class without these props, but they are very helpful for beginners if available. The Yoga 101 series is a five class series that progressively teaches the basics of Hatha yoga, a combination of physical postures, deep breathing, and meditation (relaxation). This series is perfectly paced for those brand new to yoga. No matter what your body type, age, or level of flexibility & strength, this series will help you feel understand yoga, feel comfortable on your yoga mat, and release mental and physical tension. Amazing! I did not realize how much mind chatter I had that said I wasn t strong enough to do this type of yoga. I am really grateful--thank you--for the encouragement and the alternate movements. I will do this class many more times.
Save this class for a "strong" feeling day. It is a challenge but you will feel incredible afterwards! Pay careful attention to foot placement. Great class ... I will do this again, for sure! Thank you.
While I am not totally new to yoga, it has been about 10 years since I practiced. This series of classes was perfect to get me back in the groove! It seems to me that it is appropriate for the true beginner since Jackie is spot-on -- even intuitive -- with her explanations and cues.
I ve made it through Class 4 now, and still LOVING the series. The classes offer a wonderful progression of practice. I m almost ready to move on to the Class 5 "grand finale"! I ll return to these classes again and again. My body and soul thank you, Jackie!

this intro series continues to be awesome. as hard as some poses are to hold I am loving this new way to work my body.
