This was my first class of the 21 day challenge. And it is the first yoga class that I have done in many many years. I am coming out of a very hard year for me emotionally. Several deaths and I have been fighting depression. My weight has skyrocketed to the highest it has ever been. I m very much looking forward to the next 20 days to make a shift in how I care for myself and honor myself

What a wonderful introduction to yoga practice: not too intense but certainly challenging. I ve been practising yoga, on and off, for 25 years. This is a great class to humble myself and revisit the poses I feel that I know like the back of my hand (and bring more awareness to my poses). This is a perfect class for complete beginners, and for those of us who have been practising for some time. There s always something new to learn, thank you Jackie.

I started using YogaDownload around this time last year. I took this class as my first one and it was wonderful. I let life get in the way and fell out of practice for longer than I care to admit. I ve done a lot of yoga previously, but after two hard pregnancies, a surgery, and some health problems, it s been really hard to get back to feeling at home in my body and safe working out. I kept trying more intense classes, but feel more pain than actual strengthening. This was a perfect class - a great chance to slow down and reconnect with my muscles. Just enough time in holds to feel some heat and strengthening, and slow enough that I m not hurting myself in the recovery. It really does make you feel good in the body you re in!

I love jaquie she makes me want to keep praticing yoga, it is not how well you pose but that you are doing it...and I have gotten stronger and much more flexible knowing that i dont have to be perfect. This is a wonderful plateform instead of a live class.

This was a great introductory class. Jackie s voice, calmness and encouragement was motivating. I especially liked the descriptions to get proper alignment. We have a super fast broadband connection here but have also had trouble with buffering and the download takes ages! However the class is really great. I haven t done yoga for 2 years and this is a brilliant reintroduction, will definitely do the follow on classes in this series :-)

Why does it take so long to buffer ?? Even though I ve downloaded it , it takes forever to start !! Then the audio is out of sync with the visual or the visual goes completely!!

Wow. What an excellent class! I am not new to yoga, but just recovering from a very bad cold. I was unsure of how much I could handle...but this was a perfect beginning spot. After being so sick, I d lost feeling centered and able to connect to my breath in a peaceful way. Thank you! Before I started the Yoga 101 series, I didn t think yoga was for me. My doctor recommended it after I developed severe chronic pain in my neck, shoulders and upper back. I didn t feel comfortable going to a studio. I found the Yoga Download channel on Roku and of all the Yoga channels I tried, Yoga Download was the easiest to navigate. I went to Beginner, found Yoga 101, completed the series, and did not stop there. Yoga saved my sanity and Yoga Download made it accessible and comfortable and easy for me to keep coming back to the mat.
I love Jackie s teaching style: gentle, encouraging, and promoting self compassion. If you re dealing with chronic pain, yoga may not be a miracle cure, but it can be a wonderful treatment.

I just finished my first yoga class in years, and it was awesome! It taught basics and it was easy enough that I did the whole 50 minutes without feeling like I was overdoing it or too weak! I ve failed at many DVD workouts because I couldn t even make it through one session. This was perfect for me! It was great! Thank you!

I recently just got my appendix removed and am unable to run like I usual do. The doctor told me to try yogo while I am recovering. I am new yoga and this video was so informative and helpful! Also the modifications and different ways to do the poses really helped me when it would be too much for me. I will defiantly continue with yoga!

I am not an absolute beginner but I love the tips and reminders on proper alignment and positive encouragement. The cues and alternate poses work well for whatever stage you are at.

I am not new to yoga, but I recently broke my clavicle. This series came at just the right time for me. Without your gentle classes, along with a couple of other instructors, I would not be able to practice yoga - I can t do down dog - even puppy pose with straight arms is too much! I certainly can t flow, and can t put any weight on my right arm or even raise it over my head, but this series gives me the time to modify and keep up. I don t want to lose flexibility, strength and balance in the rest of my body. I am certain that breathing and meditation aid my recovery. With great gratitude I bow and say - Namaste.

Not new to yoga but have not been consistent lately, and I was intrigued with the series of five classes building on each other. My personal credo with yoga, especially when I haven t been steady with the classes or I m having one of those "off" days is to just get through the class--let your body do its best guestimate of the poses and they will do their work. As we got to the middle of the class, sure enough, that little "click" as my spine settled into its rightful place, and then a few more. Good basic poses with excellent cueing, some long holds as she gives you time to find yourself--and always, that encouragement to do only what your body is capable of, and that is plenty wonderful. I have tried so many beginners yoga videos in the past and they all go far too fast and expect too much until now!
I started going to a 6 week beginners yoga class, and i loved it, but only managed the first 2 as had been ill for the rest. im finally now back on my feet and thought id give this a go! I m glad i did, i managed the first 30 mins, had to rest for 10 mins but continued with the stretching later on.
I am so pleased to find a teacher online who reassures, comforts and genuinely cares about your practice. I will have a few more goes of this video and then move on to the next one! Thank you

What an excellent beginners guide to yoga! I especially love that she reminds you throughout to be gentle with yourself and to not get frustrated if you are stiff and out of shape. I started feeling angry with my body and how out of shape I am to appreciating what it can do despite any setbacks I m currently facing health-wise.

I m a few years into my yoga practice, but nevertheless still love this 101 series. I ve told so many friends about YogaDownload and always add that "Jackie is my favorite teacher." (Though there are so many wonderful teachers...!) I feel like I am in a private session when doing yoga with Jackie. Her cueing is always spot-on.
