Tana Pittman
"Practice and all is coming." – Patahbi Jois.
"Keep up and you will be kept up." – Yogi Bhajan.
These two statements have resonated deeply with Tana and in many ways, have transformed her life. Tana started yoga in 1997, when she was an aerobics instructor and simply wanted to become more flexible. Since then, yoga has permeated all areas of her life and has created balance, which is the true meaning of yoga. Through practice and keeping up, Tana has acquired three 200-hour yoga teaching certifications in Bikram, Anusara/Hatha and Kundalini Yoga, as taught by Yogi Bhajan. It is this great mix of yoga styles that creates an informative, therapeutic and spiritual experience in each of Tana's classes. She has 15 years teaching experience and has taken students on retreats to Costa Rica and Buena Vista, Colorado. Tana has had the great pleasure and honor to study with many wonderful nationally-recognized teachers: John Friend, Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa, Tim Miller, Beryl Bender Birch, Anna Forrest, Patricia Walden, and Gary Kraftsow, as well as some of Colorado's finest teachers, Sue and Dan Retuta, Bhakti, Jeanine Armstrong, Nancy Nielson and Madhuri Martin. Tana's practice continues through attending classes and trainings, reading, and daily spiritual practice or Sadhana. Tana opened The Butterfly Yoga Club in May of 2013; it is a place of great healing to all who visit.
