with Rod Stryker Learn the stress-relieving practice of Yoga Nidra from yoga master Rod Stryker. Yoga Nidra is a systematic method used to prepare both mind and body for deep rejuvenation and heightened awareness. Regular practice of Yoga Nidra fosters deep relaxation and can be an effective process for self-healing and shaping your destiny. All you do is listen as you are guided through an array of powerful techniques (physical relaxation, breath awareness, visualization), culminating in deeper states of insight and relaxation. Rod Stryker is widely considered to be one of the pre-eminent yoga and meditation teachers in the United States. He is the founder of ParaYoga and has taught Tantra, meditation and Hatha Yoga for more than 25 years. He is one of the few Western teachers capable of articulating an authentic experience––one that has been practiced and handed down from teacher to student for literally thousands of years. *Notice: the introduction for this class is identical to the one on the Deep Relaxation: Yoga Nidra w/ Patty Townsend class on our site. **This class is part of our 7-Day Heart Opening Program! 100% of revenues from the sale of this class will go directly to the Give Back Yoga Foundation

This is my go-to meditation for when I have trouble sleeping. Quiets the mind and relaxation on every level. I often fall asleep before the session is over!
I found the voice to be annoying. Each time he started speaking again, it jolted me out of any relaxation I had just dived into. I find the voice to be a bit clipped and abrupt, a bit Iike a military guy trying to be soothing but not being able to. The session itself had some good elements in it but it felt like he was trying to put too many in in order to fully experience each individual. Of all yoga nidra sessions I ve experienced so far, this is the one I like least.
The depth of the meditation in combination with body awareness and breath are wonderful. The narration is peaceful and soothing, taking you effortlessly where you need to go. The class is intended for the end of the day and it s a great way to release from it.
This is one of my favorite guided meditations ever. It s sooo incredibly relaxing and Rod s voice is very soothing. It s a great one to do at bed time - I sleep like a baby when I do!
Excellent meditation to reconnect to yourself. I was mentally exhausted and needed a guided meditation after a long and active weekend. The mental massage I needed. I ll come back to this meditation again.
