Day 5 - 2-Week Grounding and Gratitude Challenge

Day 5 - 2-Week Grounding and Gratitude Challenge

Welcome to Day 5 of our 2-Week Grounding and Gratitude Challenge!

Friday, November 15th

You’ve been showing up beautifully—keep that momentum going!

Today’s classes bring something fresh to your mat. If you’re in need of a deep reset, try our 45-minute all-levels class designed to unravel the tension of travel (or any time your body craves a full stretch and release). Or, if you’re ready to build heat and strength, dive into our 30-minute intermediate fusion flow, which combines yoga, barre, and Pilates to strengthen and open the lower body.

Every day, you’re deepening your practice and discovering new ways to ground yourself, so embrace whichever class resonates most with you today (and remember there's always the option to choose a class from a previous challenge day, or any other class you'd like).

Let’s keep exploring, growing, and supporting ourselves on this journey.

Don’t forget to comment below after your practice for a chance to win one of our prize packages! 🌟🧘‍♂️

Here are today's class options:

Unravel from Travel with Caitlin Rose Kenney

45 min class

Level:  All Levels | Intensity: Everyday Namaste

Traveling takes a toll physically and mentally. This class is designed to help you land by bringing relief to your body and mind. Begin with gentle spine mobility and stretching. Move into lunge sequences with simple connecting vinyasas. End with legs up the wall.

Fusion Flow: Lower Body with Annie Coyle

30 min class

Level: Intermediate| Intensity: You'll Feel It

Enjoy a lower body burn in this fusion flow class, that weaves together elements of yoga, barre, and pilates for a highly integrated, highly intentional practice. You can expect to feel steady and strong through your legs, as you will work larger muscles groups as well as stabilizers in tune with your breath in this dynamic practice. Explore a variety of parallel and turn out positions, working with weights* to stabilize, add spice, and increase intentionality.

*weights are optional

*you only need to choose one class

**If you're feeling in the mood for something different you can choose any of our free classes on our site (or any other class you'd like!). The most important thing is to show up and get on your mat!

Share your challenge experience in the comments section below and/or do a post or story on IG or Facebook (be sure to tag @yogadownload) for a chance to win a prize package! Each comment and post/story counts as one entry.

I don't have any travel plans but this was still an excellent session. I did it for my morning wake up and feel great

I lost track of time making covers for a journal this evening so I chose Mary Baker's "Turn Up That Self-Love Dial" 20 minute option, ending with a journaling activity. "I am my number one priority."

What a perfect way to close down a hectic work week with Caitlin's Unravel from Travel class. Loved her calming tone and longer holds for the poses.
Nice to catch my breath as I unwind to start my weekend.

I decided to try Annie's Fusion Flow class today. I didn't have any weights but still got plenty out of the class. My balance was pretty terrible today but the class flew by & was really enjoyable. You got me out of my comfort zone. Lol

I chose to do the unravel from travel class today since my body is so tired from the week and I need a more gentle movement. I felt a lot better from it.

Today I chose Annie’s Fusion Flow class and it was a challenge, but I enjoyed it. The fusion was interesting because some things were familiar and others were a new feeling. Can’t wait to see how I fell later!

Day 5! I was able to do fusion flow after work. It was a perfect mini workout incorporating the lower body, back and a flow. I loved the energy build while flowing with the strong yoga power.

The horse pose in Caitlin's class really snuck up on me! It felt good and powerful to go through it so slowly, but I was shaking a little by the end of that hold. Feeling really good in my body after that class.

Whew! I did 3 classes today and I'm all caught up with the challenge! I chose Annie's class, and it felt great to get a strong workout after choosing two pretty mellow classes. It was a good challenge but not too difficult, and I loved all the moves from different exercise modalities.

I chose unravel from travel with Caitlin today. I was feeling sore from lifting weights, so this was a perfect gentle, make your body feel great practice! I loved the slow pace and basic, but creative flow. Thank you Caitlin!

I was looking for a gentler class this evening so I opted for Caitlin's class. Even though I wasn't traveling, it was a great way to stretch out after work.

As more of a beginner I had to modify Annie Coyle's class quite a bit, But it was nice to discover a new instructor.

Avatar  Valerie 5 days ago

Lower body is my favorite area to work out, Pilates-inspired is my favorite style of yoga, and 30 minutes is my favorite class length. Is the Annie's fusion flow my new favorite class? Hmmmm....

Avatar  JP 5 days ago

When I came to my yoga mat neither of these practices spoke to me so I did Jackie's class from earlier in the week.

Avatar  Mimi 5 days ago

Couldn't get Caitlin's class to load properly... grrr and boo!... but! It's the yoga challenge! So I tried something new to me, a Ben Davis fitness and flow and it was fun and fabulous! Great stretches and good speed and length for me. Yay! Om shanti

Avatar  Susan Wong 5 days ago

I did the Fusion yoga which is the first time for me. Ma different kind of practice but I enjoyed it. Annie cues were clear and the pace was ok for me. Thanks!

Avatar  Andie 5 days ago

I opted for Annie’s class as I wanted leg work and really needed change from my usual routine. I enjoy these challenges to try other instructors and flows. See you tomorrow 🙏🏼

I chose Caitlyn's class this morning. While I'm not travelling per se, I'm doing a lot of driving, so I wanted something to help me unwind. It was lovely!

Today I choose to do yoga from my Yoga Teacher Training Program with Yogadownload.com Side note…if you are thinking about doing this training with YogaDowload…Do it! I’ve been learning so much about myself and have been able to deepen my yoga practice. I do have the intention of teaching, but even if you don’t I would 100% recommend this training.

I’m about 1/2 through and part of the program is you are instructed to choose or take a class on the platform. Today I did a 65 min practice with Shy Sayar called Powerful Yoga with No Weight on the hands. It was a great to take the time to set-up Powerful poses and spend time in them, making sure your alignment is correct and you are receiving maximum benefits. One of the reasons why I love yoga so much is there are always opportunities to learn something new. Always new layers being uncovered.

This morning I got up early and completed Annie’s Fusion Flow. Got my sweat on!! I am so grateful for yoga and this grounding and gratitude challenge as I have had a rough last month or so and this has helped me to remember what is truly important. Thank you! Namaste 🧘🏻‍♀️📿

Because I missed the first day of the challenge🙄, I went back to Day 1 for Elise's heart opening class. I had several of her classes in my favorites, but I had not seen this one before. Very nice class with Elise's always comforting voice!

Avatar  Linda 5 days ago

I had a good sweat with Annie's class this morning. More of a workout than traditional yoga but because I am pressed for time today it worked!
