Welcome to Day 4 of our 2-Week Vibration & Creation New Year's Challenge!

Saturday, January 4th

You’re creating a powerful rhythm with your daily practice, and it’s inspiring to see your commitment. Today, the focus is on self-love and freedom—two vital ingredients for a grounded and intentional year ahead.

Today's class options - "Love Thyself, Heal Thyself" with Christen: A 40-minute all-levels practice that invites you to nurture and heal through self-compassion and mindful movement, or "Free Flow w/ Pradeep": A 30-minute intermediate class that encourages you to let go and embrace the freedom of intuitive movement.

Love Thyself, Heal Thyself with Christen Bakken

40 min class

Level:  All Levels | Intensity: Everyday Namaste

Whether we are celebrating a love filled holiday or simply looking for ways to increase our loving vibration, loving ourselves will always be one of our greatest tools. It is said that in order to find a "Healthy Self" we must "Heal Thy Self." Sometimes it can be challenging to love that which we have not begun to heal, so this practice is a deep practice of listening in, taking time to care for and soothe what aches, and then finding new ways to love ourselves exactly as we are. The practice will be a gentle flow with a few tricky transitions. We will keep our movements close to the ground and our breath the center of our actions. Practice will be heart-centered and devotion-filled. We can be sure that loving others and loving ourselves go hand in hand.
 



Free Flow w/ Pradeep with Pradeep Teotia

30 min class

Level: Intermediate | Intensity: You'll Feel It

This class will wake up the body and mind, get the blood and prana flowing for your day. We will do sun salutations and some nice long standing poses. Even though it's just a short one, this practice works the whole body. A good practice for every day. Oh happy day! Welcome home.

Busy playing catch up today after a busy weekend. I just took day 4's all level class (even though today is day 6!). Really enjoyed it! Hopefully I can squeeze in day 5's class this evening

Today, I diverted again. Unfortunately, time being the issue. But I was determined to get on my mat and in a peaceful space today. So, I revisited another favorite — Elise’s “Quick Yin Fix.” I love that class is always there when I need it.
Looking forward to revisiting today (and yesterday) to experience the suggested classes. Thank you!

Amazing Class with Pradeep! Omg! It was like a power flow! I must have done about 40 chattarangas. :) You do need to have energy for this class as it can be intense!

Christen's "Love Thyself, Heal Thyself" included a little bit of spice to it with two rounds of side plank. Interesting skandasana movement too. I enjoy the variety of instructors offered by yogadownload.com

I picked Pradeep’s class tonight. I love his classes, but it’s been awhile since I’ve taken one and I forgot that it can be a bit challenging! I was also a bit sore from yesterday’s practice, as I found out. But I got through it and feel pretty good, but also more aware of the sore arms….
Sore Day 4, lol!

DAY 4: I have just completed the Love Thyself flow with Christen. Felt completely amazing! I had some difficulties during the day and even ended up falling asleep in front of the TV. I'm glad I overcame my old tendency to procrastinate and went on my yoga mat for some practice. Thank you and namaste 🌺🧡🏵️🙏🏽

I diverted here on Day 4, but will revisit the offered classes another day. I was feeling the need for one of my favorites instead. So I did Keith Allen’s “Shoulder & Upper Body Love,” which is always like going to my favorite massage therapist. I can always count on that class to release tension in my upper body after a long day on the computer. Ahhhhh

Yoga Challenge with Post-Surgery Knee, Day 4: I did Christen's "Love Thyself, Heal Thyself" class. I've done it in the past and knew it was a good class for days when I'm feeling stiff. It was a terrific option, but it took me a bit longer than the 40 minutes because of my modifications and pausing the video so I could get up and down. (It takes me a minute to get up from the mat, but I'm getting braver and stronger the more I do this.) I am proud of myself for doing it and taking care of myself-- the message of self love and kindness hit home as my body is NOT where it was "back in the day." And I had more energy the rest of the day! Hooray!!

Christen’s class was pure magic. I was a lil grumpy and restless before my practice, but Christen guided me straight into the flow state. I ended the class feeling warm, tingly, and happy. This one went to the favorites. 💜

I had time for a longer practice today, but I could not say no to Pradeep! It was the perfect remedy for my sluggish afternoon and I was super proud that I went into full wheel despite having not practiced that in a while. Love the challenge. 💪🏼Welcome home!

Instead of one of the above options for today, I ended up going to an in person class with a friend. It was an hour slow flow, and we even drew affirmationcars for the new year. The class was a great way to connect with people and add to my Saturday morning schedule.

Christen's class was much slower than I anticipated since most of her classes are not and I still enjoyed it very much. Felt so good afterward! I might do pradeep next because his classes are always so fun!

I took Christen's class. I expected to be quieter, it was delicious though. Maybe I was tired and some times I found it a little bit demanding. It is always nice to practise with new teachers! Thanks

Pradeep never disappoints. I've not tried this class before. Fast paced and I struggled with the transition from child's post to down dog, but eventually got the hang of the pace and transitions. I feel great!

Happy Saturday! Been some time practicing with Pradeep so I did after a 1 hour intense cycle class. It was a very fast paced class but worth it. Breathing inhale and exhale throughout the class with Pradeep queues really help with every pose. I could not do some but held the pose going into it with inhale and exhale. Good thing my body was warmed up when I did this class. Overall; I challenged this 60 year old retired women and very pleased on how I did. Most importantly I came to my mat and practiced rather that see it rolled up in my yoga bag. Definitely added this to my favorites so I can do it after this 14 day challenge. Make today a great day! I keep doing the classes and not commenting…smh. I liked the positive self talk in Christen’s class. Sometimes the spiritual talk is distracting to me but this was actually relatable.

I am just starting Day 4 (haven't picked one yet) and will have time for a longer class. First day was 30 min, 2nd was Erin's neck and shoulder work and yesterday was a nice short but quick paced get-ready-for-work class. I enjoy these challenges because they give me a different focus for my mornings, esp before work. I work on my feet and usually practice yoga and stretch for my lower body; Erin's class let me mix it up as will today's. Helen in Boulder, CO
