Day 5 - 2-Week Vibration & Creation New Years Challenge

Welcome to Day 5 of our 2-Week Vibration & Creation New Year's Challenge!

Sunday, January 5th

By now, you’ve experienced how impactful just a few days of consistent yoga can be. Whether it’s bringing calm after a busy day, easing tension, or helping you feel more centered, each practice is a gift you’re giving yourself.

Today’s classes are here to support you, no matter what kind of day you’ve had: "It's Been a Long Day" with Celest: A 30-minute all-levels class designed to release stress and gently ease you into relaxation or "Moon in Taurus" with Gemma: A 35-minute intermediate practice that channels grounding energy to help you align with stability and calm.

Take the time to reconnect with yourself on your mat, whether you’re seeking a gentle unwind or a more dynamic flow. Remember, every practice builds resilience, flexibility, and clarity—both on and off the mat. Keep going strong—you’re doing amazing! 🌟🧘‍♂️

Here are today's class options:

It's Been a Long Day with Celest Pereira

30 min class

Level:  All Levels | Intensity: Ahhhhhh

This class is designed to help you swtich off after a long day at work. If your brain feels full and tired but your body needs to move, then this yoga practice will help to soothe your mind and release your body!

Moon in Taurus with Gemma Celento

35 min class

Level: Intermediate | Intensity: Everyday Namaste

This class is apart of a zodiacal series to attune the physical and subtle body to the energetics of the Moon in Taurus. It works to open the throat, behind the heart. It stabilizes the creative flow and sustains new endeavors. It can be practiced when the moon is in Taurus, each month, or if your birth moon is in Taurus and you'd like to accentuate the physical and mental qualities.

*you only need to choose one class

**If you're feeling in the mood for something different you can choose any of our free classes on our site (or any other class you'd like!). The most important thing is to show up and get on your mat!

Share your challenge experience in the comments section below and/or in a post or story on IG or Facebook (be sure to tag @yogadownload) for a chance to win a prize package! Each comment and post/story counts as one entry.

I chose Gemma's class today. I'm a Taurus so appreciated exploring Taurean energy, and I loved the throat and hip openers.

Celete's cueing and shoulder stretches in "Its been a long day" were really good. Flagged for a future visit!

Avatar  Susan 18 hours agoReply

Did A Long Day with Celste since it was fairly later in the evening. Need work on my strength but at least I’m still fairly flexible. Nice and relaxing final
third of the class. Nighty-nite ...

I picked Celest’s class today! It was wonderfully relaxing and calming. I feel ready for a peaceful sleep!
Peaceful day 5!

Yoga Challenge with Post-Surgery Knee, Day 5: After checking the recommended classes, I decided to look for one with a little less knee bent poses. This morning I chose Stability Practice with Caitlin Rose Kenney. I had it in my "To Do Regularly" category, but I can tell you-- I have NOT been doing it regularly. But it was a good one. There was still a lot of modifying and even some outright change-outs. But it was a good one for me today. I needed some core work and balance practice. My legs and feet ARE wobbly right now and I need to get my strength and stability back. Thanks for the challenge, YDL.

I did Celeste’s class… which was a bit more than I was expecting but a great release.

DAY 5; I have just completed the "It's Been a Long Day" flow with Celeste. My day has been particularly long and complicated, and Celeste's class helped me to relax and unwind. Namaste 🌺🧡🏵️🙏🏽

Gemmas's class was wonderful! Very nice transitions and strong poses. I did find the last pose variation a little tricky, but I will try again at another time and see of it gets better.

Avatar  Sabrina 20 hours agoReply

Tonight I completed Celeste’s It’s Been a Long Day. It was a perfect practice to do before bed. Thank you Celeste! Namaste 🙌🏾🧘🏽‍♀️📿

Avatar  nikki 21 hours agoReply

it was lovely winding down with celest this evening!

Avatar  EE 21 hours agoReply

Took Celest's class and it just wasn't for me, sadly. But it was good to try another instructor I hadn't before.

Avatar  TJ 21 hours agoReply

Today, Day 5, I diverted again. Unfortunately, time being the issue. But I was determined to get on my mat and in a peaceful space today. So, I revisited another favorite — Elise’s “Quick Yin Fix.” I love that class is always there when I need it.
Looking forward to revisiting today (and yesterday) to experience the suggested classes. Thank you!

I'm very grateful for this new year's challenge together. I have dabbled with yoga over the past couple of years but have a goal to regularly practice in 2025 and the daily emails and classes are helpful in building a new habit.

Avatar  Kathy 22 hours agoReply

It's been a long day with Celeste was a great way to unwind after shoveling multiple driveways of snow this afternoon and evening. Just what I needed to unwind from the day and get ready for bed. Namaste.

Avatar  Andrea Ward 22 hours agoReply

I did Gemma’s class and really enjoyed it. She gave clear directions and the flow was different/challenging

Avatar  Brandie 22 hours agoReply

I needed today’s It’s Been A Long Day class with Celest. As my body is learning some new poses I’m realizing I need to strengthen different muscles.

Avatar  Andrea 23 hours agoReply

It was a long day for me, so I did Celeste's class. It's exactly what I needed to wind down for my evening.

Avatar  Anmiello 23 hours agoReply

I'm finding this series helpful in reducing joint pain that had been escalating over the past couple years. I always find one of the practices helpful, or head to the website for one that fits what I feel I need. Today I did Celest's class which was a nice recovery from yesterday's class.

Avatar  Linda 23 hours agoReply

I used Celest's class to cool down and stretch after a weight lifting session. It was a nice way to wind down. Wish this class had come up tomorrow after work!

Avatar  Tracy 1 days agoReply

I did Gemma's class today. Good reminder for throat chakra and overall I feel good (better than before I did it). Thanks!

Avatar  Elizabeth 1 days agoReply

Enjoyed a mellow Sunday with Celeste. I love her accent as it brings about a very calming effect during her class.
Beautiful way to wind down the weekend! Thank you!

Avatar  Tory 1 days agoReply

I did Celeste's class, which I haven't done in ages. It was lovely! I usually did it after work, but it's just as nice to finish off a weekend.

Avatar  Haley 1 days agoReply

Took some time with Gemma and did the Taurus class. I've done a couple of these classes in her zodiac series, and have really liked them. Will definitely be coming back to these.

Avatar  Jamillah 1 days agoReply

Despite the moon being in Aquarius, I enjoyed the Moon in Taurus class as it forced me to pay more attention to my throat chakra, which is often overlooked. I also enjoyed trying a new pose - locus. Thank you!

Avatar  Macsek 1 days agoReply

The “it’s been a long day” title perfectily fit for me today. Thank you!

Avatar  pammy 1 days agoReply

Felt low energy today so went back to yesterday’s “Heal thyself” practice. It was great and double pigeon is such a challenging pose for me, I wedge a block between my legs. Day 5 complete! 🕉️

Avatar  Debbie 1 days agoReply

Thanks Celest. Wonderful practice. My hips and shoulders loved it.

Avatar  Heather R 1 days agoReply

Not sure, but I may have done this one before. I chose it’s been a long day by Celest. My hips appreciate it.

Avatar  Erin 1 days agoReply

Celest's class was perfect for a cold, snowy day where I'm at :-)

Avatar  Jennie 1 days agoReply

I chose Celest's class this evening. Even though I didn't work today, I ran in the morning and I loved the stretches, breathwork and restorative poses to help loosen up after my run and wind down for the day.

Avatar  Nikki 1 days agoReply

Celest offers a great stretch for the body and some peace for the mind

Avatar  Dbeer 1 days agoReply

Day 5 Moon in Taurus. Great flow especially for a Sunday, thank you

Avatar  Robin 1 days agoReply

Day 5; just finished Celest's class. My body is starting to feel better! Having read the reviews for Gemma's class, maybe I'll download that one, too.

Avatar  Pat 1 days agoReply

I chose Celeste's class today which was great. So relaxing!

Avatar  Rocío 1 days agoReply

I completed Gemma's class and it was nice and slow. Perfect for unwinding the stress of the whole day.

Avatar  Molly Hicks 1 days agoReply

Sundays, Am I right??? Totally took Celeste’s class today because the name says it all. It was soooo nice and relaxing!

Avatar  Jovi k 1 days agoReply

I absolutely loved this class! I chose the Moon in Taurus with Gemma Celento. Gemma is an excellent instructor and her guidance through the poses was fantastic. I feel very energized after this practice.

Avatar  Vicky 1 days agoReply

I completed another class instead of todays suggestions. This is day 5 for me! I want to keep the pace going! Love it so far!

Avatar  linda 1 days agoReply

Linda from San Diego. This is day 5 of the 14 day challenge. I completed the class with Celest Pereira "It's been a long day" It has been a long week for me. This is the perfect class to wind down on a Sunday. I always enjoy classes with Celest Pereira, she is one of my favorite instructors.

Avatar  Jennifer 1 days agoReply

I tried my first class ever with Gemma today - it was different and challenging in a good way!

Avatar  EmmaS 1 days agoReply

I did a morning yoga class and thought I might skip the ones suggested here today. But at night I changed my mind and did Celeste's class. It felt like exactly what I needed, not after a day at the office, but after helping my elderly parents. I really needed to calm down and rinse off some sadness when I came home.

Avatar  Beth 1 days agoReply

This was my first class with Gemma. I loved it! I will look for more with her

Avatar  Rachel 1 days agoReply

Did Gemmas class today and feel relaxed and open.

Avatar  Geraldine Smyth 1 days agoReply

Enjoyed Celeste's class though my day was not a long one given the few hours of daylight right now!

Avatar  Jo 1 days agoReply

Even if I’m not a Taurus, this was a delicious practice. Great way to start your Sunday, wherever the moon is…

Avatar  Mimi 1 days agoReply

As much as I dislike missing a class with Celeste, I hadn't done a class with Gemma! Soooo...and wow! I loved! Will definitely try more. I put Celeste on my list...soooo...yeah. and I loved that she calls us "yogis"...I feel like one!

Avatar  rcowin 1 days agoReply

My first class with Gemma! Wish she'd offered some adjustments for the alternative locust pose. I don't have the shoulder mobility to turn my hands in and get them into the position on my body she cued.

Avatar  Susan 1 days agoReply

Nice slowing pace with smooth transition. I enjoy this flow a lot as it helps to relax me afterward. Thanks.

Avatar  Gabriela 1 days agoReply

I don't know if the moon is in Taurus, but this was a great class regardless. I really like Gemma's style and variations to flow. Happy Sunday!

Avatar  Trice 1 days agoReply

This is what I love about these challenges - I’ve never done a class by Celest and would not have picked it but I am so thrilled it was a choice this morning. I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS CLASS AND HER!! I can see returning to this class often. Great instructions, soothing class and instructor and great way to undwind after a week of just life stuff! Love it!!!!!!! 😊

Avatar  SandyC 1 days agoReply

Happy Sunday! Woke up pretty stiff from yesterday's long day with exercise and putting away all Christmas decor. So this morning I did Celest class "It's Been a Long Day". Relaxing flow with holding the poses with breath to calm your mind and reset your body. This class is great to do any time during the day. Definitely added to my favorites. After this challenge I've done Gemma classes before so I will do her's today. Make today a great day! Namaste...

Avatar  JP 1 days agoReply

Gemma’s classes never disappoint. I like the clear instruction and smooth flow.

Avatar  Simona_Yoga 1 days agoReply
