Day 7 - 2-Week Vibration & Creation New Years Challenge

Day 7 - 2-Week Vibration & Creation New Years Challenge

Welcome to Day 7 of our 2-Week Vibration & Creation New Year's Challenge!

Tuesday, January 7th

Welcome to Day 7—you’ve reached the halfway point! 🎉 Take a moment to celebrate how far you’ve come. Every day you step onto your mat, you’re building resilience, tapping into your inner power, and creating space for something new to unfold.

Today’s classes offer two powerful ways to fuel your mind and body: "Yin to Unleash Your Creativity" with Claire: A 30-minute all-levels yin practice designed to unlock your creative energy through deep, mindful stretches, or "Leg Day: A Strength Flow" with Jack: A 35-minute intermediate class that challenges your lower body while building stability and endurance.

Choose the practice that speaks to your goals today—whether it’s sparking creativity or strengthening your foundation. Keep going strong, and remember: every day on your mat brings new growth and possibilities. You’ve got this! 💪✨

Here are today's class options:

Yin to Unleash your Creativity with Claire Petretti Marti

30 min class

Level:  All Levels | Intensity: Ahhhhhh

This Yin practice to unleash your creativity is focused on creating freedom around the Svadhistana (Sacral) Chakra to help you tap into your emotions and dreams, soften blockages, and feel open. The focus is on opening the hips with time spent in Dragon, Sleeping Swan, and more. It's short, sweet, and effective. Enjoy!

Leg Day: A Strength Flow with Jack Cuneo

35 min class

Level: Intermediate | Intensity: You'll Feel It

Your muscles are not straight lines - they wrap around your skeleton in complex and interrelated spiraling patterns. Begin to develop sustainable strength with an emphasis on your legs and core in this quick, technical and action-packed flow. The sequence is designed to integrate and awaken your body's strength potential with a combination of classic yoga postures and bodyweight calisthenics. You'll work the muscles all around your upper legs and hips, then add the smaller stabilizers of your feet and lower legs and even your core and the long muscles running up and down your back. Once awakened, these chains of movement help your body generate outstanding power in all of your activities.

*you only need to choose one class

**If you're feeling in the mood for something different you can choose any of our free classes on our site (or any other class you'd like!). The most important thing is to show up and get on your mat!

Well, shoot. Due to hip issues (torn labra in each hip) I need to pass on both of today's classes. Think I'll choose another class from the YD site today as a substitute. Namaste.

I ended up choosing Have Faith, Abdominal Strength with Desiree Rumbaugh & Michelle Marchildon. FABULOUS class for very focused core strength. Have added it to my favorites!

Don’t remember if I did day 7 of two week challenge so I did it today! Will do day 10 tonight! I did Claire’s class. Great slow yum class. Love yin. Great for my hurting hip. Thank you.

Jack's class was different but good! great for legs

DAY 7: It was a very difficult day for me, as I experienced excruciating pains in my left knee after sustaining a bad fall on the previous evening. In the afternoon, I did the Yin to Unleash Your Creativity flow with Claire and it was an amazing class! I loved stretching all those parts of my body, though I could not do all the poses. A few hours after completing Claire's yoga class, I decided to do again the class with Celeste "It's Been a Long Day", which I had already done on DAY 5. Celeste's class has become one of my top favorites and after such a terrible day on DAY 7, I really needed to do again this gentle yoga flow with Celeste, before going to bed. Thank you and namaste!

I did one of Claire’s quick warming flow classes on Day 7 because I needed a little more intensity and didn’t have much time. They’re great for that!

Avatar  Molly Hicks 5 days agoReply

I’m late posting, but I did Claire’s class yesterday and I loved it! I’m a creative person, so I was immediately intrigued by the title of the class, and it did not disappoint. Very calming and relaxing.

Avatar  Oralee 6 days agoReply

The mental Dragons were present with Yin with Claire. Intense and challenging.

Avatar  Macsek 6 days agoReply

For today’s challenge I did the first option for day 6, a bit by doing in a hussle 😅

Avatar  Sarah 6 days agoReply

I did an awesome Hip Mobility class by Kristen, holy moly was that good for my stiff hips. Looking forward to returning to that one!

Avatar  TJ 6 days agoReply

It seems I’m really drawn to foraging my own path this challenge. Another hectic day created a desire to visit an old friend. Another of Keith Allen’s classes. Keith is typically my go-to when I need to convince myself to show up on my mat. His classes are always an exhale to any challenging day.
Bookmarking the Day 7 classes though. I’d love to explore them both! Thank you.

Yin classes are usually challenging for me and this one was no different. However, it has my favorite types of poses, hip openers and twists. So I actually got some release, which usually I feel like is not the case with Yin classes. I have done this one before and I plan to do it again!

Avatar  HeatherHalfMoon 6 days agoReply

Well, I did my daily PT exercises for my knee but my knee is not hurting as much as my feet are. I'm doing Dana Smith's Yoga for Healthy Feet class. I'm hoping it will help me.
I'm pretty sure I'll sleep hard tonight.

Avatar  Marina 6 days agoReply

I went with Claire’s yin class. I struggled during some of the long holds to keep my mind from wandering. But, really feeling each muscle while holding the pose was really great! I think I stretched something’s that haven’t moved in years while in that dragon pose. I’ll have to revisit this class when my mind is a bit quieter to get the full effect!
Calm Day 7!

Avatar  Trice 6 days agoReply

Just finished Claire’s class and it was perfect for bedtime. The long stretch poses and relaxing tone was perfect to get me ready for a great nights sleep. 😊

Avatar  Sabrins 6 days agoReply

Day 7 - I completed Claire’s Yin class. It was a perfect practice to end my day. Now I’m ready for bed. Thank you Claire! Namaste 🧘🏽‍♀️🙌🏾

Avatar  Brandie 6 days agoReply

I chose Claire’s class today because I’m honestly not sure I can handle an advanced level yet.

Avatar  Robin 6 days agoReply

I was so looking forward to the Yin class today, but had issues with playback on my computer. I opted for Yoga for the Anxious Mind from Shannon Paige, who did one of our classes earlier this week that I loved. As I might have expected, this class was exactly what I needed, when I need it. I think I'm going have to download all of her classes now.

Avatar  Niki 6 days agoReply

I chose Jack's class today. It was really creative and unusual, and a great workout!

Avatar  Andrea Ward 6 days agoReply

I did Claire’s class and loved it. Yin classes are my favorite

Avatar  Linda 6 days agoReply

i'm definately coming back to the leg day flow but due to time constraints I did Michelle Marchildon's Yoga and Mobility for Hips. I felt much looser by the end of class!

Avatar  pammy 6 days agoReply

I’m really drawn to Yin right now, I think my body and mind really need it. Claire’s short practice was very nourishing. I lit candles in my yoga room and listened to the 40 mph wind gusts whipping around on this frigid winter evening. Ahhhhh….🙏🏼

Avatar  Mindy 6 days agoReply

Half way!

I did yin with Claire. Lovely, peaceful class. Not easy, but stillness is hard for me. I definitely need to practice it more in my life.

Avatar  Elizabeth 6 days agoReply

Truly enjoyed Yin to Unleash you Creativity with Claire as it helped me to stretch out before heading to my second yoga class of the evening.
One week down! Bring on Round 2!

Avatar  Andrea 6 days agoReply

Oops, I accidentally skipped ahead to day 8 and did Jackie's class. I love Jackie's teaching style and her cues are so easy to follow; she's easily my favorite instructor.

Avatar  Heather R 6 days agoReply

Yin was a good close to my day.

Avatar  Haley 6 days agoReply

Jack's class was way more in depth that I was bargaining for, but it felt so good! I'll probably feel this one tomorrow in the best way.

Avatar  Lucy 6 days agoReply

Day 7 - and opted for the Leg day and boy, am I feeling it!! some new stretches and transitions that I've not tried before which made it fun. might be cursing Jack tomorrow morning as fear I may be aching!

Avatar  Jennie 6 days agoReply

I had recently done Yin to Unleash Your Creativity so I chose another class for creativity, Yoga for the 2nd Chakra by Elise. It was a nice mix of static stretches, flow, seating and standing poses. Felt great after work.

Avatar  Jennifer 6 days agoReply

Jack's class was a CHALLENGE! I'm going to be sore tomorrow!!!

Avatar  linda 6 days agoReply

Wahoo! Day 7 of this 14 day challenge. I completed Yin to Unleash your creativity with Claire Petretti Marti. I enjoyed this class. It is the perfect class for stretching. I feel great after this class. Adding this one to my favorites for sure.

Avatar  Baynicole 6 days agoReply

I ended up doing Kristin's flow from day 2. It was a nice class, got me moving. I actually wish it was longer, the savasana at the end seemed too long for a short class! I wanted more yoga!

Avatar  Beth 6 days agoReply

I love, love, love Yin yoga! Thank you that felt wonderful.

Avatar  DBeer 6 days agoReply

Leg day: day 7 this was a hard practice for me. A lot of the poses were new for me.

Avatar  nikki 6 days agoReply

My hips needed the yin class today, and it was perfect to practice deep breathing when under tension.

Avatar  EmmaS 6 days agoReply

I like Claire and I like yin, so that was a perfect combination. I downloaded it to bring it with me wherever I go.

Avatar  EE 6 days agoReply

I usually love Jack's classes and this one is excellent too, just my knees and quads aren't strong enough to properly do some of the poses but I learned so much from it and excited to come back to it again once I can go to my strength training routine and get my quads stronger!

Avatar  Erin 6 days agoReply

I did Claire’s class today. Yin is my absolute favorite style of yoga, so I really enjoyed this one!

Avatar  Jamillah 6 days agoReply

Leg Day: A Strength Flow was challenging in all best ways possible! I've been having mild intermittent sciatic pain so I'm hoping I was able to unlock some areas in my legs and hips to fully release it. I was also able to try a new pose I've never heard of - flying monk:)
Thank you!

Avatar  Sarah 6 days agoReply

I circled back to yesterday's Morning quickie with Elise for a lovely start to the day today.

Avatar  Susan 6 days agoReply

Claire’s class is great as it helps to stretch my muscles after a high impact aerobic class. I always like her class no matter it is a stretch or yin or an intermediate vinyasa flow. Thank you!

Avatar  carolyn 6 days agoReply

I did the Yin class since yesterday was spent shoveling snow. The dragon pose was a tough one for me - showed I needed it. Great class.

Avatar  helcat 6 days agoReply

Im home with a low back episode so later today will be my first opportunity to get onto YD in a few days - breath work, relaxation and gentle stretching could be good at this stage. It's also cold and snowy here. I miss the consistency of the challenge but hope to be back soon. Cheers to all!

Avatar  Mimi 6 days agoReply

Though I am not a huge fan of yin, I love everything Claire! With an angry backend even angrier knee, I took a deep breath, well, many deep breathes, and even first thing in the morning... dove into yin. What can I say? I still love everything Claire and took a few to stretch, breathe, set my hectic day aside and focus on unfocusing. Yessssss.

Avatar  MPYoga 6 days agoReply

Today, I did Claire's class. It was a great hip opening yin class, but sometimes it was challenging to hold the poses.

Avatar  Nikki 6 days agoReply

I chose the yin class with Claire. Finding the ability to be still in the poses was a challenge at first, but by the end of the class I was feeling soothed and relaxed

Avatar  Pat 6 days agoReply

I chose Claire's Yin class. I'm dealing with some hip issues and it was a very helpful practice.

Avatar  Jo 6 days agoReply

Wow! Will have to add Jack’s routine to my maintenance schedule. Amazing how we can forget certain muscles exist… This is a good (and necessary) reminder.

Avatar  SandyC 6 days agoReply

Happy Tuesday! Very early start of my day with a 45min cycle class at 5:45amCST. I started today's Day 7 option with Jack's class and had a very hard time to balance the first pose with your knee up and the other leg off your mat elevated. I tried to modify with my knees down as there were no queues from Jack. Didn't help so I stopped by not risking the chance to injury. So I did Clarie's class for today "Yin to Unleash your Creativity" Wonderful Yin flow to stretch and hold the poses to loosen up tightness and clear your mind. Clarie's classes are always awesome and I loved her instruction during these poses to explain what they mean. I'm now more stretched and very zen. Make today a great day! Namaste...

Released so much during Claire's class today - lovely start to the day :)

Avatar  Debbie 6 days agoReply

Thanks Claire. Great hip opening practice.

Avatar  Megs 6 days agoReply

Jack's class was wonderful. He give great direction to get in and out of each position. Really enjoyed leg day

Avatar  Kim 6 days agoReply

I am going to put Claire's class as a favorite. What a great hip opener and release!

Avatar  rcowin 6 days agoReply

My biggest struggle in life is to slow down and breathe through things. That's one of the reasons I love yoga, and even there I do a lot of power and vinyasa yoga so there's an element of pushing myself. Today I challenged myself to slow down and breathe into things even more when I tried Claire's class to balance out using my muscular energy with opening up the deeper tissues in a true Yin practice. I enjoy a variety of Claire's classes but this is my first time trying Yin with her. She's so soothing. Lovely class.

Avatar  Rachel 6 days agoReply

Felt a bit sore from a workout yesterday so started my day with the Yin class!

Avatar  Lisa last weekReply

Jack's Leg Day class is excellent! His explanations of poses are easy to follow but detailed enough to know how to maximize the poses. Within a few minutes, my heart rate was climbing high! He had some unique poses that really stretched and woke up some areas that needed attention, especially since I've been running more lately. Thanks for a great class!
