Really enjoyed this class! Good workout with a lovely meditation at the end, true to Kristin s style. Makes me feel grateful for my body and for having access to great yoga classes like this. For me this is what yoga is about and what fulfills me in my practice and helps me to grow.

I found a lot of the movements to be confusing and overly complicated. Kristen attempted to give cues to maintain the integrity of postures, but in some of the postures she cued, it was not possible to achieve the alignment suggested and also do the movement.

This is a lovely, strengthening class with a beautiful, body-honoring message throughout and meditation at the end.
That s why the cognitive dissonance between the title/category ("yoga for weight loss ) and the class is all the greater.
Please, Yoga Download, lose the weight loss message and keep focusing on honoring our bodies, which feels much more in the spirit of yoga to me.

I m not trying to lose weight but I ve been doing this class weekly for a few months as a strengthening class. I m still not fully able to do the entire thing through without having to come out of a pose to rest briefly (that final sequence is a killer!) but every week I notice a bit more progress. My legs have become noticeably stronger from doing this class regularly. Always happy to practice with Kristin!

Thank you, Kristin, for ending a varied postured class with the reading by Hillary McBride. It was just what I needed today. My husband had cancer surgery in the past week & from that, developed a blood clot in his lung. He ll recover, but I needed a class to move the body & clear the mind.Your class moved my body & the quote moved my mind. Thank you!

Beautiful class! So much to love about this. I love the holds that incorporated strengthening, balance and core work without anything high impact. It s a short class which is perfect for a busy day, but if I had more time I would do some sun salutations to warm up more beforehand. I was unexpectedly touched by the poem/meditation at the end, really beautiful. It helped me lose some of the "mental weight" I have been carrying around. If you have a series of these "weight loss" classes I will download them all!

This was exactly what I needed, something to give a fresh start in my workout journey when I ve became burn out. The ending and reminder of the body helped to clear my mind. Loved this!

I love Kristin s classes. I wasn t expecting so much bodyweight training; probably a better category for this would be "power yoga" than "vinyasa". NOT a bad thing; I just do a lot of strength training already and might have saved this for one of my non-rest days! But I enjoyed the workout and Kristin is an excellent teacher.

WOW I needed that. YOU need this if you are bothering to read! So strong for only 30 minutes. I have been struggling to get to my mat, to smile at clients in these not so pretty times, to smile in the mirror at what I have let my body become with this heat, stress and pandemic. I thought this would be another weight loss but make it to the end and BAM the closing words said so much to remind me of my smile, why I do what I do, why to be grateful to this body that has brought me through and back from so many things.

Glad they changed the title re: a previous comment. I agree the down dog "dance" was a good switch up, and ultimately this is a great class. Two minor thoughts: 1. I wish it were more full body as it focuses a lot on lower body over core and upper body. 2. I wish there were more of a gauge on how long you hold postures. I always appreciate a count down vs. holding fore-arm plank for an indefinite amount of time.

Always looking for new classes from Kristin. This didn’t disappoint. More strength and tone with a tiny bit of flow. So I felt more burn than heart rate. Fun, different practice. Loved the reading meditation vs. traditional savasana.

Definitely gets your heart pumping. Kristin makes sure you work your butt off in the short 30 minutes on the mat. The only thing I really don t care for is the side planks, but I ve gotta do the work to see the results.

This was a really nice workout and, while I am not actively looking to lose weight, I fully appreciate the message to love yourself as you are, where you are, and to think of your body in wonder. I think many people on a weight loss journey need to hear this message, but it s also a nice reminder to appreciate all the things your body does -- it does so much.
My only qualm is that this class is tagged "yoga for women" when there is nothing inherently feminine about weight loss. It seems like it s reinforcing the idea that women care about losing weight more than men, that men don t need to worry about weight loss. (The class itself does not read this way, which makes the tag extra strange. It s definitely appropriate for men or women who want a workout or struggle with body image. A better tag would be "yoga for weight loss.")
