Running Coach Interval Sessions

These Running Coach classes use perfectly timed intervals of running and walking for a challenging workout that won’t burn you out. Begin with a one minute run followed by a one minute walk, then repeat this various times according to the class length. The 17 minute session has varying interval lengths. The music corresponds with each interval, decreasing in intensity for each walk, and increasing in intensity with each run.

Use the warm up and warm down with the interval sessions for a complete class. The warm up guides you from a slow steady walk, up to a brisk walk so that you will gradually increase your heart rate and warm the muscles, while the warm down does the opposite, guiding you from a brisk walk to a slow steady walk to decrease the heart rate.
