This class is the best one I ve had with clear instructions so as to not hurt my back more. I ve had herniated discs since I was 19, over 30 years now and I ve finally done a cobra without feeling pain in my lower back! I am amazed! I can t believe what I needed was a good instructor providing clear instructions as to how to move my back and abdominals, as well as what to do with the rest of the body and keep breathing. Wow!! Thank you so much! _/\_

I found the initial cueing with the strap a little confusing, but overall, it s a good practice. I loved how she cued to get in and out of poses safety. I have a lot of low back popping and cracking, and when I followed her cues, I had very little popping and cracking.

I messed up my back muscles while cliff jumping back in July and I ve been doing a bunch of different stretches to help relieve any of that tension since then. For this class, I did my best to follow the instructions, but my back feels more aggravated after this class, especially after the very last pose - I didn t quite understand what to do and my back was simply not having it.
There were a lot of detailed instructions in this, which I appreciated, but I sometimes found myself getting confused, but that s just me, personally. I can see why others would find this to be a beneficial class, I just found myself getting frustrated

Wow. Wow. Cobra actually felt amazing. Bridge felt amazing. Savasana didn t require bent knees with feet on the floor. Being intentional about putting a curve in my back makes a big difference.

If you re looking for a class with flow, this is not the one to choose. But, if you re looking for poses that will help your back, the instructor does an amazing job walking you through how to perfect poses like cat/cow, chair, folds, bridge, etc. properly in order to strengthen your back. I took the class after tweaking my back and while it didn t feel like I was doing much in the class, when I was done, my back felt SO much better!

I learned some new ways to do things in Desiree s class. The way we got into cobra made a huge difference in my back pain in the pose (though coming out of it hurt). Also, I loved the ab work we did in the beginning where we push our knees away while keeping the back on the floor. That was hard and I was shaking all the way through! That tells me I need to do more of it!

Great class. I am exceptionally lucky and have never had any problems with my lower or upper back, perhaps due to the fact I’ve ridden horses every day for the last 50+ years!
This class was excellent if only to remind me to be appreciative of my back. I will definitely return to this class as it makes me feel good as I know I can do it all and that is mentally very reassuring!

I work 12 hour shifts (mostly sitting) and my back was very stiff and inflexible. After only 4 days doing this challenge; I can t believe the difference that I m feeling in my back and hips. Amazing!

Day 3 challenge. I was a bit skeptical at first, but I gave this video a try. As a somewhat seasoned yogi, there were very useful tips and tricks to prevent lower back pain in certain poses, such as cobra pose, that I will for sure use during my yoga practice.

Easy to follow and really helped with tight hips and lower back. Enough effort needed to make a difference but not too much that it was overly strenuous even though I was very stiff and out of practice

Will defjnitely do again. Great instruction. Suggestion: You have two people, so take advantage of it and have them at different angles to the camera. Ssdeways, or even facing away on the twists, so those of us directionally challenged can figure out which way to turn without having to mentally flip the image we re seeing. Otherwise, great cuing and very helpful.

Thank You for a wonderful class &great instruction/explanations for bad backs! So many instructors don t understand that those of us w/ DDD, spondylolisthesis, and/or scoliosis can no longer do forward folds. This is a wonderful class & it made my back feel so much bette. I feel like I can do yoga again after this class. I can t thank you enough for this class where I get to stretch & work my entire body. Please keep more classes coming!

WOW. I have been doing yoga almost every day to try and help my lower back pain, but even though I ve been taking healthy back classes, many times it just ends up intensifying my pain. I suffer from chronic back pain and this is the reason for my new interest in yoga. After doing this class, I realized how I was doing many poses wrong and causing more pain to my back. At first I wasn t on board with the extremely slow pace, but this class ended with me being able to remain in savasana with no low back pain. I haven t had that experience in some time. Thank you for the opportunity to slow down and take care of myself!
