I had symphysis pubis disorder with both of my pregnancies, worse in my second pregnancy, and ever since I have had to battle the constant misalignment and rotation. This is interesting and vastly different than anything else I have I ever tried for it. It’s been over 6 years since my pregnancy, and it is better than ever, but still I am prone to misaligned hips and knee pain. Thanks for this, will revisit periodically.

I ve had pain in my hip for two months. It was rested and not improving, which made me think it was a joint issue. Painful to the point of limping while walking. I found this class and have been doing it almost daily. A week later my hip pain has improved so much I can even run again! Apparently this is just what my body needed. Thank you!

Wonderful class. I have hip issues due to a fall. I have been working on stretching and strengthening the hip, but the warrior poses remained challenging. Now I realize that I have never actually isolated this very muscle. The left side started screaming almost immediately, but at the same moment the muscle also shouted that this is exactly what it needs. Thank you for this class!

Great class and I appreciate the explanation of which muscles are involved and how they work. I ride and horses know immediately when you are not in alignment! I always have difficulty with external rotation plus knee flexion. I was trying to focus on flexibility but then This class showed me that one set of rotators are super week on one side and the other set is super week on the other! I now do this class and the accompanying class for neck and shoulders at least twice a week. Thanks!!!

I love this class because it provides intelligent explanations of why misalignments happen and what can be done to correct it. Clear and calm delivery with precise cueing helps make this a go-to class.

Simple but effective. I sit a great deal due to work and now that I have started exercising again I am getting hip pain in the same area I used to get it -- I know that I have weak gluts and core, but exercises I use to strengthen don t seem to be working, so having movements like this to isolate the areas of concern are helpful to me. Shy - if you are reading this if you have any good exercises to strengthen abductors that would be awesome as well. I (as well as I am sure other viewers) have slightly knock-knees and wide pelvis (which leads to "miserable malalignment syndrome" in the medical world) and seem to have much stronger muscles on the outsides of the legs rather than the insides of the legs. Please help! :-)

Very good description if how to move to isolate the muscles. Also helpful at what not to do to cheat the muscles. I loved this video!

Dear Shy, I love your tutorials and this one is super informative and easy to follow. My muscle balance therapist gave me exercises: lift one leg repetitions (in 3 planes) while lying on side for my trochanteric bursitis and I am wondering if your techniques (with bent knees etc.) are better and whether I should switch to yours. Could you please tell me if yours is better, and why? Would really appreciate your advice. I tried asking this question via the yogadownload online contact form but never received a reply. I don t have Facebook to ask you either. Hope you can answer me here!

I have pain and have lost mobility in my right hip. After completing this isolation and stretch a couple times, I already feel it s more mobile. I hope as I continue practicing, my problem hip will gain strength, more mobility and less pain.
I am newish to yoga practice, and I found the explanation/description of the postures easy to follow.
Thank you!
